  1. As I drive a car here I hardly use taxis or an Uber. I think 80 Pesos is low and I would be surprised if you can get a cab for that price. High season often brings high(er) prices too.
  2. Bus fare to/from the cruiseport to the Malecon will cost Pesos 10,- per person per ride. Not all drivers will accept US$. Take the bus with Centro or Olas altas in the window, not the one with Tunel in the window. On the return the one with hotels, airport or Ixtapa in the window. Be aware there 2 Walmarts, so check that you take the right one. Uber indeed will work, but you have to go outside of the port to get one.
  3. Prima is on the list for June in Amsterdam. https://zee.cruiseportamsterdam.nl/cruise-kalender/
  4. You can walk or take one of the trams (streetcars). First one to Centraal Station (or walk to CS) and the next one is tram nr 17 to Westermarkt. A short walk from there. You MUST book tickets online for AF huis, see the website: https://www.annefrank.org/en/museum/tickets/
  5. Check this shop in Puerto Vallarta. https://www.talaveraetc.com/ It is situated in the center of town, you need a cab, Uber or bus to get there. See the mmap on their page.
  6. If your visit takes place in spring, visit Keukenhof in Lisse. Most famous garden for tulips etc. https://keukenhof.nl/en/ Or else the small old city of Delft is worth a visit. Famous for its Delft blue pottery, the church where the dutch royals are buried, painter Vermeer and more. https://www.delft.com/ Also a visit to Madurodam om The Hague - the netherlands in miniature is fun. https://www.madurodam.nl/en
  7. You better take the later flight. When a ship docks at 6.30 you probably can disembark after 7 am (or a later depending clearing by customs of the ship) at the earliest, and you will need to carry all your luggage yourself. The drive to the airport will last about one hour depending traffic. Assuming you fly to the USA, most airlines want you to check in 3 hours prior.
  8. Most cruise lines use Vallarta Adventures, a wellknown company. . However due to the contract with the lines they will NOT accept direct bookings from cruise passengers. So book through your cruiseline.
  9. There is a difference between the cruise port and the Marina. It is walkable, but a cab would be easier and better. However if you book a ship tour whale watch you will be picked up at the cruiseport. Also if you book a private tour from the Marina double check not only the departure point and also the departure time. Sometimes ship time is different then local time. Some of the nicest whalewatch tours are e.g. https://oceanfriendly.com/ and: https://www.ecotoursvallarta.com/
  10. You can book a timeslot for security at Schiphol airport to avoid a waiting there. https://news.schiphol.com/schiphol-now-offering-pre-booked-time-slots-for-security-check/?
  11. You can check trains at the website ns.nl Frequent trains , some of them with a small surcharge. Buying tickets is easy too, just use your creditcard to check in and out. More details here: https://www.ns.nl/en From the trainstation take either a cab or use the metro (underground) to Wilhelminakade.
  12. In Puerto Vallarta often whale watch tours are sold out, so it might be better to make online reservations or book through your cruiseline.
  13. Expect trains to be a bit more busy than other days but not a real problem. However please stay (and watch) with your luggage at all times
  14. Next to the cruise terminal are Hotel New York and Nhow Hotel. Sheraton and Hilton are both at Schiphol airport and plenty of others with a shuttle.
  15. and another choice would be Hotel New York or NHow hotel, both next to the cruise terminal. New York Hotel was once headoffice f HAL.
  16. Many hotels donot give out daypasses in winter when there are more or less fully booked. A nice option can be a "Beach"pass at restaurant Eldorado or its neighbour La Palapa on Playa los Muertes, not far from the Malecon, and very close to the pier. https://www.eldoradopvr.com/
  17. I am surprised to read this as they are a well known business. Maybe you can try and phone them?
  18. PS I now see it it the same company as the one through Viator. I think you are better off by booking with Wildlife directly.
  19. The best local operator for dolphins, whales in the wild etc in Puerto Vallarta is by far Wildlife Connection. Check their website for details. The office is at the Marina (not the cruise terminal), but as you can see on the website they can arrange transportation if needed. Also they will try to coordinate with the arrival time of your cruise ship. http://www.wildlifeconnection.com/dolphins-tour/
  20. The 1st train on weekdays leaves from Zaandam ar 05.36 which is too late for the schedule of the poster. That is why I recommend him to stay at a hotel at the airport or in a hotel with an early shuttle to the airport.
  21. There are hotels like Sheraton, Hilton right at the airport and also hotels in the vicinity offering a shuttle to/from the airport. You can check prices and where they are situated on a site like Booking.com A stay in town would be great but due to your early departure not recommended.
  22. We (4 persons) were recently in o.a. Lisbon and had a great private driver, reserved ahead at: https://www.swingo.pt/
  23. You can book a timeslot at amsterdam airport https://www.schiphol.nl/en/page/timeslots/
  24. The newest HAL ships, Koningsdam, Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam all have some cabins for single passengers.
