We used uber on 12/18/2022 around 9:30 AM after our Oasis cruise, the fare was $36.91 before tip. Lyft would have been cheaper if we are willing to wait 40~50 minutes. Lyft/uber can be cheap if you disembark very early or just wait till after 10:30 or so.

Symphony and Oasis are free in Dec 2022.

I thought you have to be at least Diamond to get free drinks vouchers and Diamond gets 4/day.

Thanks. We knew about the possibility of flying to FLL instead of MIA. That is the reason we have the NCL ground transportation. If we know for sure we are flying to MIA, we can take uber or taxi cheaper than $50 for 2 of us. Don't think we can do the same from FLL.

The port schedule ( https://www.ambercove.com/Port-Schedule.aspx ) I checked only shows Carnival (+ HAL + Princess) ships. Does this mean if there is only one ship for that date, NCL has a chance to dock at Amber Cove?

I am the OP and have another related. The air we bought from NCL is from Southern Calif to Miami. With the time difference, I assume we will get a red eye flight going to Miami. With Red eye means we will be getting into Miami early morning. when does the NCL bus start at MIA?

We bought air with our cruise from NCL. Just wonder how many days before our cruise will we get the flight info? Can we do air deviation after they sent us the flight info?

Was on the Symphony 1st week of Dec 2022, 1st one is free and any additional is $16.99. On the Oasis the 2nd week of Dec, got 2 without asking. The one on Symphony seems to be larger.

If you not able to make reservation for the aqua and want to do standby. Be prepared to get wet if you are not near the front of the standby line. If you are in the back, you may find only available seats are at the first 3 rows which are the "splash zone". For some of the ships, they provide towels for those seats and was not that bad. Some kids actually like to sit upfront to get splash.

To me, they are the same. We were on the Symphony for the 1st week of Dec and 2nd week on the Oasis. Both had Crazy Quest with similar format.

We were on 12/11-18 sailing of the Oasis. The Activity Manager did the Crazy Quest as well as most of the other games because the CD was "under the weather". She did the conga lines instead of men dress as women as the last game. She did the same at the end of the Battle of Sexes game.

At one of the event on day 7, the activity manager said the CD is "under the weather". Also, there were supposed to have 3 shows for Cats. 2 on day 6 and 1 on day 7. We had reservation on day 7. However, the show was canceled because they don't have enough performers.

We were in an Effy store on the Oasis few days ago. The "Port Shopping Expert" greeted us and took out jewels from locked displayed cases for us to see. Even though he can get keys for the locked display cases, he said he is employed by Royal and not Effy. There was a store salesperson next to him but the store employee didn't talk or sell much. Just curious about the business relationship between Royal and Effy.

For Symphony and Oasis , the early seating is 5:30 for 2 of the 3 decks. The third deck where they do "my time dinning", the early seating is at 5:15 and my time dinning starts at 6:45. I assume wonder has the same arrangement.

The same menu as before. Couple of salads, burger,, hot dog, BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, bean & rice, banana rum cake, coconut cookie, plus few other items.

Have you gotten drinks from Sand Bar? I have to sign receipt there every time this week. I also don't see my remaining drinks on the receipts I signed.

On the Symphony now. Ordered 2 drinks but signed receipt for one drink. Check my Royal app and it shows correctly that I ordered 2. Seems like receipts are more consistent at the beginning of the cruise and less so now that we are on the last half of the cruise.

I wonder if they use wired connection when they are in port to save some money.

Anyone knows where they put the Starlink antennas on the Symphony? Speed was not impressed yesterday on the way to St. Maarten. Now that we are docked, the speed seems to be better.

If I book a cruise without perks, is there a standard rate I can add the perks (tips, basic WiFi, classic bev) before sailing?
