I can see the ship waiting if there was a report of an accident or medical emergency and it was unclear if the late passengers were involved. Once things clarified the Captain could make the necessary call to stay or sail.
Not as crazy as one of our bookings when the price of a Royal suite was more than the PH we booked before we could even finalize the booking with our CVP.
I saw the NYE menu for Murano's. The menu items were exactly the same. 2 appetizers and entrees had different preparations but still the same food. We decided to dine at Luminae that night.
I don't think the views would be that good. Doesn't the cabanas face a walkway? If so there will be people standing at the rail and you would be sitting down and back aways.
This happened to us years ago. Luckily we caught it on board and guest relations managed to correct it. I think it had to do with how we were checked in. There was a log of confusion at the check in station, the agent didn't seem to know what she was doing. Never had that problem again but I always check our accounts to be sure.
Our CVP only books for Celebrity. Her phone calls on caller ID state RC. Her emails are from Celebrity. I recently got an email from RC about the changes in the free drinks during happy hour, but I've never cruised with RC, even though I have a loyalty # with them. As long as they get my dining reservations right I;m happy.
