  1. How is getting lost anyone's fault but their own?
  2. It wouldn't be fair to all the others if I didn't.
  3. This is not even a remotely a fair comparison. Nobody is subject to bodily harm, long term health issues or a lifetime of pain because they missed the ship. I would never wish pain, illness or even missing the ship on anyone. All I'm saying is that if you can't make it back to the boat on time, I'll sit on my balcony and waive with a drink in my hand while we pull away and still sleep like a baby at night.
  4. I really don't understand how anyone has sympathy for people missing the boat. When you step foot off the ship, and don't take an excursion with Royal, you're putting your fate in your own hands. If I leave the ship on my own, I plan to get back at least 2hrs before all aboard. That gives ample time for unforeseen issues, and if I don't make it back on time, I would expect to see the ship leaving without me. Royal can't sit around and wait forever for people who can't manage a clock.
  5. That's because you're too busy with your edibles to care.....lol PS, I'm with you
  6. We sailed that itinerary on Serenade and disembarked 3/13/2020. We considered ourselves lucky to get home before everything went to hell. That was Serenade's last full sailing before everything shut down. I think she made it a day with new passengers before coming home and riding out the pandemic. It was a fantastic itinerary though, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. You'll love it!
  7. Wow, thanks for the feedback. In all of the years I've been cruising with Royal, I think I've only eaten in the WJ once and it was a quick grab and go because I was running late for something. Leaving next week and may have to give this a shot.
  8. One of my favorite menu items in the MDR is the French Onion Soup. That doesn't seem like something that would work in a buffet, but does anyone know if that is available in the windjammer for dinner?
  9. Speaking from recent experience, if you haven't already arranged an Uber ahead of time, don't even try it out of Port Canaveral. DW and I had both of our phones trying to get an Uber or Lyft for over an hour and got nothing. Ended up paying the extortionist cab $170 to MLB. There's only 1 cab company allowed in the port and they don't have enough vehicles on a busy day. They'll arrange a ride for you, but at crazy prices and wait times.
  10. It varies even within the same ship. We were on Adventure over Christmas and I've never been happier with how cold the room could get. I like an ice box and I didn't even have to turn it all the way low. Having said that, I heard other's complain that their rooms weren't cold enough on the same sailing. We were in 9230
  11. Just got off Adventure and DD had no issue with any of her hair tools.....there were many
  12. Looks like Royal needs to tell someone in their IT dept. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/does-royal-caribbean-offer-luggage-valet
  13. On Oasis over spring break we got in touch with the Lime and Coconut right after embarkation and were able to reserve the casita we wanted for both days we had them booked.
  14. Thanks! I currently have a little over 500 points and 2 offers for interior cabins
  15. I'd be a little upset if I was gambling as much as all of you and getting the same offers as me. I'm not sure how many points I have, but it is in the low hundreds. February I was offered the 3-5 night cruises and the same thing for March. Is there a way you can check casino points online?
  16. I got a comp room offer from the casino for February. I don't play slots at all, and don't really even gamble much. On a 7 night cruise, I may go through $200-$300 and I cruise once a year on average. I play blackjack and the occasional trip to the hold em table.
  17. This is one of the reasons we've always loved Royal. There are so many different options for whatever type of cruise vacation you want. Wife and I alone, it's Radiance or Voyage/Freedom Class. Bring the kids, it's Oasis Class. Personally I don't love the big ships, but would sail on any of them if the timing and situation was right. It's just too bad their pricing has gotten so out of hand. We are seriously starting to consider a different type of vacation.
  18. If you pay close enough attention, you can figure it out. Google is your friend
  19. What value does Royal put on "one day's worth of on board credit"?
  20. Aaaaaand this is why I leave it to the expert. OP should find a good travel agent 🙂
  21. There's no roll call for that sailing on cruise critic. If you get crafty with social media, you can likely find a group
  22. We saw him on a 12 night cruise and every night he performed, the Schooner Bar was packed. He may not be everyone's cup of tea, but you'll never find an artist that is, and he manages to fill his venue every night. While his act is a bit repetitive, I have never had so much fun watching an artist on a ship before. I thought he was hilarious
