  1. Never had a problem getting wine refills in the MDR. They're usually back to fill the glasses before they're empty. Also, a few times they left the bottle on the table "for our convenience". (As well as theirs...saves them the trip).
  2. And the ongoing saga of the VAT takes another turn. Let's hope this is the trend going forward, since we paid VAT for our four Spain ports last year.
  3. I think we should tell people that the District beers are not included in the package. That would leave more for the rest of us 😁. Especially since they ran out of a number beers on our TA last November. Having said that, the choice of beers on a "regular" bar menu on an NCL ship without a District is beyond pathetic.
  4. We're morning, noon and night drinkers...and the snack mix is at most, if not all, bars. They serve it in small carafes. Keep an eye out...or just ask your friendly bartender.
  5. Did you try the yummy bar snack mix? It gets rave reviews from us and most people on CC.
  6. Good point...however, when you purchase sandals, you don't have a contract with the seller that states they can make substitutions, if necessary.
  7. Especially at my age. Try reading instructions on a medicine bottle...
  8. With this drink you can get drunk and sober up simultaneously.
  9. They're time=consuming, so espresso martinis are definitely not expresso.
  10. To hear some people complain, to them NCL stands for Nickelanddime Cruise Lines.
  11. NCL gift cards...the gift that keeps on giv...er, taking.
  12. Not sure what this means. Aren't all cabins between decks? In any case, we prefer cabins as close as possible to mid-ship to minimize movement. Also, not too high or low...usually deck ten. No public spaces above or below. (Maybe that's what you meant by "between decks"??)
  13. Okay...but I don't typically spend time researching people's profiles to see all their prior posts before responding to a topic. Besides, my reply was not directed to the OP...it was a general observation in case people were unaware that this can be done after final payment.
  14. You can often/usually get better deals using private (i.e. non-NCL) excursions. I know you want to use your credits, but you may be able to find a better deal, anyway.
  15. That's fine. I wasn't replying to the OP. I was replying to the comment I quoted that said you can't get a FCC if the only cabins available are guarantees and is an apples to oranges issue. My example is not apples to oranges...it is apples to apples. As far as cruising in four days, where did the OP say that?
  16. If you are a party of two, you should have no problem getting into a MDR with little, or no wait. Having said that, on the Prima, we had a party of six and we showed up at the dining room just after opening several times and we all waltzed right in. (Okay, maybe not waltzed...I don't dance...but you get the idea.)
  17. If your same cabin is now lower, you can request a FCC after final payment. Our November, 2022 TA cabin dropped $1100 ($550 per person) after final payment. A five minute call to our PCC got the ball rolling. He submitted a request on our behalf and about three days later we had a FCC for $1100 in our NCL account.
  18. In case you're flying in or out of Miami on American Airlines, you should be aware that the American terminal's shuttle train will not be operating for the foreseeable future. They are doing repairs on the foundation that holds the tracks. From what I hear, the distance from the furthest gate to the main terminal is about a mile...or a 30 minute walk. https://www.cbsnews.com/miami/news/miami-international-airports-skytrain-out-of-service-over-concrete-structure-cracks-when-will-it-resume/ We're flying into Miami in American in December and weren't happy to hear this. Oh...by the way. We were offered the city tour with airport drop-off and we signed up for it.
  19. Or just look above where @BirdTravelsposted it ^^^
  20. Being a beer drinker, this is one month I wish I lived in Germany.
  21. I'm always in awe of the people doing the live reviews. Especially, since on our last two cruises, I wasn't even able to get "free" CC access...not even to just browse. Went to talk to the onboard tech gurus, and even they couldn't get me in. Just as well, I probably didn't have anything interesting to say, anyway. 😁
  22. They could do a cruise to nowhere, man. (Cue the Beatles...) While that would still be better than sitting on my sofa for a week, it's not what most people envision when booking a cruise.
  23. In two weeks the whole world could see many (not good) changes. Fingers crossed for your cruise (and all of us)...
