  1. Or someone at NCL forgot to feed the hamster who runs on the wheel that powers their website.
  2. The title of this thread is a question. The answers are overwhelmingly "no". Next question...
  3. @JakTartook the time and effort to write an extremely thorough (and entertaining) review and it is already at the end of the second page of threads with only one comment (mine). It deserves a much wider audience, so I am bumping it back to the first page,,,for now, at least.
  4. Our TA last November dropped $1100 after final payment. We called our PCC and three days later our Latitudes account had an $1100 FCC. Easy...
  5. Roll call participation (or lack thereof) has nothing to do with the popularity of cruising or of CC. Probably the majority of people on any given cruise ship have never even heard of CC. Many people who sign up for Meet and Greets don't even show up. The Roll Calls are useful for sharing excursion ideas, places to stay before the cruise, etc., but I doubt there is little value beyond such things. Gift exchanges...meh. Cabin crawls...meh. Ducks...meh. Maybe it's just me(h),
  6. You can make MDR reservations at 120 days out...125 days if you're up the ladder of Latitudes membership. Same time frame as specialty dining...which you've obviously already done.
  7. Sometimes you need a crew "member" to point the way. Great review, by the way. You turn a phrase quite nicely, old (?) chap.
  8. Then you better inform every diner in the US. That's what they call them...even though my mom called them potato pancakes when she made them.
  9. When Mrs. Schmoopie comes down with a cough/asthma/sinus issue. Never fails to hit about a week before we depart.
  10. Waiting for the jet lag to kick in...?? That's one of the worst things about flying to Europe...as well as actually having to fly there. I hate flying...used to love it when I was younger. Flew back and forth to Asia four times when I was stationed over there. But the older I get, turbulence and me do not get along.
  11. I bought the stock a few days ago at $12.90. It has improved since then to $14.50 as I type this. But then again, I'm not planning to retire on my gains (if any) on NCL stock. I'm already retired...
  12. I'm happy to find another person who is not into anything Gaudi. It's all just so...appropriately enough...gaudy. There...I said it. In Barcelona we did our own self-guided tapas tour in the Gothic Quarter. We're back in Barcelona next fall, so will have to find something else to entertain us.
  13. Telling a hot sauce lover, "They have Tabasco on board" is like telling a beer lover, "They have Bud Light on board." *insert pukey face here*
  14. A wide open question will get wide open answers. Here's a summary of NCL: Some people love it. Some people hate it. Most are in-between the first two. Much like everything else in life. As for your more specific question, the Belvedere Bar may fit the bill. However, there is lots of foot traffic as it is situated in the passageway to the restaurants. But the seating area is big enough that you could park yourself in a corner. Also, on our sailing, Trivia was held there every afternoon. YMMV.
  15. That still doesn't explain why it's not in the drop down like usual. You shouldn't have to "search" for something that should be readily available with the drop down.
  16. I want to get the filet in Le Bistro on our upcoming cruise but will not eat disgust smashed liver (or unsmashed liver, for that matter). I was hoping your husband would have tried to remove the liver (and the accompanying upcharge) to see if it actually can be done (as some have said).
  17. Just as I surmised in post #2, above. Contrary to popular belief, maybe I'm smarter than I appear.
  18. Oh...so THAT'S where our six cartons of water ended up (the ones we were guaranteed for booking during the infamous "water scandal" of 2022...but never received) Hope you enjoyed our water...😁
  19. That's right. And when we lived in Miami in the late 70's, my parents were going on a cruise and we were able to go on the ship with them to check it out. That was my very first view of a cruise ship.
  20. That's funny. We bought two bottles of limoncello in Rome before boarding in Civatawhatever...carried them right on the ship in the bag the store put them in...and nobody said a word. From the FAQ, above... Alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages of any kind
  21. Maybe they drop the BOGO and replace it with the ability to make flight choices?
  22. We bought hot sauce in Mexico and never even considered if it would be an issue. Obviously it wasn't, since it made it home with us. Same goes for vanilla.
  23. Also got it. It's funny how they call it an "exclusive" coupon. Can't be all that "exclusive" if everyone is getting it.
