  1. Another vote for 150CP- In March we ate there, Chops and Giovanni's. All 3 were excellent, but 150 was our fav.
  2. first one, we all doubled our money, 2nd one, $0. We did have a separate pool for the highest spin on both
  3. Yep, the organizers (husband/wife) did a real good job and we had a good time.
  4. Yes, on the website there is a card limit per transaction. You just need to as many transactions as needed.
  5. This past week, wife and I participated in 2. Yes, the organizer received the points, it was already agreed that 25% would be kept by them for any hand pays to account for taxes. No one had any problem with that.
  6. If your TA won't apply the gift cards to pay for the cruise, you can always pay your onboard bill with them
  7. It probably still won't be worth it for you, but do you also plan on having any specialty coffee, soda or bottled water? Those add up when paying for them,
  8. My cruise is not until next June, do I have to call and pay before the 11th, or can I just pre-pay before getting on board (that is how some other lines work it). If I added the grats at thee time of booking, would that show as a separate item on my invoice, or is it included in taxes and fees. Experienced cruiser, but have only sailed one RCL once before, so I defer to those with more knowlege
  9. I also don't care for the ones during dinner, but getting off in port, if we aren't in a hurry, which is most times, we let them take a few. A couple of times, I could tell that some weren't getting many takers, and they appreciated that we stopped. One young kid said that it was his first cruise and wanted the practice and couldn't thank us enough.
  10. Great, I had no problem earlier this year applying AARP certifcates. but on that one I hadn't used MyVeags
  11. Please let us know if you find out, I have a June 24 booked with the same MyVegas 10% off.
  12. In this case, the guy splitting 10s was making one of the worst possible plays, and all for the very remote possibility of getting an extra $25 if the dealer busts, and with the very likely outcome of costing the whole table their bets, including our hero with the large bet- If I was there, after trying to politely explain in $ terms, why he shouldn't split, I might even offer to just give him the $25 to stand. Blackjack success is about the proper play based on the math. I have also been on the other side, at 3rd base with a minimum bet, and another player had started with a larger bet, with several splits/doubles and I had a hand that wasn't pat, and about 50/50 if better for me to hit or stand (dealer had a bust card up), and have deferred to the other player on the decision.
  13. I believe this is for RCL gift cards, gift certificates (like those bought from AARP) are different
  14. Also before calling, just check your transaction history on the AARP rewards site and/or if the card is still in your cart
  15. Just add 18% grat, and in US ports they don't charge the sales tax
  16. It varies, for my cruise next June, I'm paying $72
  17. More profit for the TA (or actually consolidator, which apparently is why the shareholder OBC was not granted)
  18. they vary greatly, but are, on average usually around $70-$80 if booked before you are onboard. The price depends on ship, itinerary, the phase of the moon, if it's raining or not, days that end in y, 30 or 31 days in the month....
  19. You just need to charge the casino play to the cabin. Then you apply the gift card to your folio to pay the balance, I will usually add $500 to my on board account when I get on board, they add funds as needed, The AARP cards are digital, so you can upload them to Apple or Google Wallet, or just have the pdfs on your phone, or write down the #'s and pins
  20. Thanks, all I loaded in the past were full cards
  21. Yep, gift card s probably only good in US
  22. Do you know if there is an issue applying a partially used card at the kiosk? After paying for Cheers I may have a small balance left on one
  23. Since a longer cruise is also likely to have more port days than a short cruise, I also don't expect those prices to go up soon.
