If you don't like the reserved show seating for the Sky/Star/Pinnacle. You won't like it during disembarkation when the Genie will lead the Star Suite Guests right to the front of the line!

Bedroom TVs in Sky/Star Lofts are mounted in a stand at the end of bed.

Why do you feel that paying for an expensive room should give perks beyond that room?
Because that's what Royal offers for Star Class Suites. I don't demand any more or less than what each Suite Class is entitled to.

We definitely paid for our Star Class suite in April, probably 5X a standard ocean view cabin, so the reserved seating is a well deserved perk. But our Genie told us that she could only hold the seats up to 10 minutes before the show began.
If you want those seats, either wait or cruise Star Class next time.

We were in the Sky Loft on Oasis this April. There are no blackout curtains in the loft and the TV is at the foot of the bed.

You have reading lights on each side of the bed. As to watching TV, there really isn't much TV to watch onboard and the sound will flow right downstairs. You get the Surf & Stream internet with the Sky Loft, just watch movies on your phone/tablet/computer with headphones.

I have posted those cruise compasses on this thread:
Any recent 2017 Compasses from Oasis - Eastern from PC
On the topic of Cats, it is very long (over 2 hrs), but I did see it twice because I enjoyed the music. However, the second half is much better than the first half. You can go in 1-1/4 hr after the start, during intermission, and find great seats to enjoy it.
The Ice show is very good and so is the Aqua Theater show.

The current Sky Lofts, 1718 and 1720 on Oasis/Allure, will be called Star Loft and they will still be in Star Class Suites. I have been through this with Royal on the phone and Next Cruise sales onboard the Oasis.

The Diamond lounge is very quiet except for breakfast and happy hour.

I was told by some crew that on disembarkation/embarkation day, they have to work 10-12 hours. So, have empathy for the crew.

US Customs has to clear the ship with no passengers on it before embarkation for the next cruise can begin.
On our last cruise, the previous cruise passengers were delayed due to long lines at Customs and our embarkation did not start until after 11AM.

thanks for the great info!
If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. We just came back last week, so, everything is still pretty fresh.

Remember it takes 45 minutes to get to MCO from Port Canaveral without traffic. And, the security check in lines are usually very long on Sundays unless you have TSA Pre. Then, you have to take a train to your gate.
Last Sunday, the TSA line for SouthWest was almost an hour long!

1718 is quieter and more private than 1720. The Loft in 1718 is actually bigger and more usable.
It's great having a Genie. He/she will book everything for you. You will get front roll seats for all the shows. You will get special recognition at all the Specialty Restaurants.
But best of all is the priority embarkation and did-embarkation. Enjoy honeymoon and let the Genie plan it all.

The Suite Lounge's continental breakfast is comparable to the Diamond lounge, but with a few additional items. There's an espresso/latte machine, you can get teas, hot chocolate and juices.
You can get beer/wine/soda/bottle water from 11AM-11PM. There is cocktail hour, 5-9, when yo can get almost any mixed drinks unlike the limited selection in the Diamond lounge.
The Suite Lounge is open on embarkation day, but you should just have lunch at Coastal Kitchen.

On our Christmas 2016 B2B on Oasis in a Jr. Suite, we had L'Occitane the whole cruise.

We used to sail in Jr. Suites, but after being invited on a suite tour on Harmony we have upgraded. The fact that you can use the Suite Lounge and Coastal Kitchen are nice perks, but don't forget the priority disembarkation.

Which Sky Loft are you in? 1718 or 1720?

Which ship? Oasis and Quantum class ships have L'Occitane toiletries in the suites. You can always ask cabin attendant for more.

So, what is the point of this post? Someone in an ocean view cabin complainIng about perks for Sky/Star/Pinnacle passengers? In this world, you pay for what you get!
If you are not happy, you can pay too. You are not happy with first class airline passengers getting onboard first in a nice wide comfy seat? Then pay for a first class ticket!
We are not all born into money, but we can save our money and enjoy it when we go on vacation.
