  1. You can also hang out in the Eden bar area and order from their special bar menu. Eden has drinks not available elsewhere on the ship and all presented beautifully
  2. When we were in Apex last week, Eden tasting was $160 per person with wine. You can always pay the lower fee on booking of the a la carte menu and on seating choose the tasting. Everything on the tasting menu is available a la carte. We stuck with a la carte, and it’s all amazing but Nova Scotia lobster casserole in sweet corn reduction is quite popular.
  3. Would anyone know what is going on here? The app has always been reliable but this error message shows for our Mar 2025 cruise but the one in Sep 2025 shows in app fine. We did have a rebooking for the March cruise. A “Linked” cruise in 2026 also shows in app without error. Calling Celebrity customer service didn’t resolve anything. Thanks
  4. If something goes wrong, the ship Concierge team can help a Concierge passenger resolve. All other passengers except retreat have to go to Guest Relations and wait in line and have their issue addressed in order of priority. We had an issue and ultimately the Head Concierge called Celebrity’s corporate IT or something to get it resolved while my wife was on the phone,
  5. Date of Cruise: Feb 24, 2024 Ship: Apex Cabin #: 12210 Deck #: 12 Cabin Category: C2 Cabin Location: Mid ship near the Elevators Bed Position: Nearer to door Balcony Type: IV Balcony/Window Size: Standard IV Balcony/Window View/Obstruction: None Balcony Overhang?: Yes Magic Carpet Issues?: None Noise Issues?: Yes Wind Issues?: None Connecting Cabin? : No Advantages/Problems/Comments: Excellent location stateroom attendant is 5-stars. We stayed in this cabin in 2023 and this sailing so we knew it was below OCV cafe and we know the sound of carts rolling across the floor. The noise problem is NONE of this. Outside the cabin in the ceiling panels was likely pipes banging on each other or the ceiling occurring during during rougher sea days. Sounds like two empty soda cans banging on each other. Goes on all night. I slept two nights with noise cancelling headphones. Maintenance couldn’t fix it. Would You Book It Again?: Heck no Photos or Photo Links:
  6. My wife and I just sailed Apex and had a wonderful meal on Raw on 5. Five small plates cost $73 with gratuity already included. I expect that the $50 would then be deducted from the bill. Drinks were already covered by our beverage plan, including an amazing sake-tini!
  7. Thanks this is helpful. I didn’t know what Celebrity’s process was in rebookings
  8. TA called their X representative to see if she can bring some influence to escalate the issue
  9. I can enter via website but sailing is far enough out that things like dining aren’t reservable yet.
  10. I’m hoping this group of informed sailors can help me where a half dozen calls to X customer service and two open IT tickets has not. At my request, TA changed us from one March 2025 sailing to another March 2025 sailing. Celebrity kept the new sailing under the same reservation number. Problem now when I go to the app and try to click on the new sailing a message pops up that “sailing has not reached the app yet” and I can’t manage reservation. The sailing is correctly linked to mine and wife’s accounts, While I understand this is a year away, we are all too familiar that if I don’t keep pushing the issue with Celebrity, the won’t fix it and at some point I’ll be SOL to make preferred dining reservations, excursions, etc. I don’t have this issue with a 2026 sailing - app works fine. Any guidance on what steps I need to tell Celebrity or my TA to precisely execute to resolve? Thanks in advance.
  11. Has anyone sailed on Celebrity to St Maarten? We are sailing in Feb 2024 and arrival time is shown as 10 while all other ships that day arrive at 8. 10am is same when most tour operators start their tours. Celebrity’s own tours don’t start that day until 11:30. Would like to book with a local operator if I can. Thank you
  12. I have a 3:45 embarkation time in Piraeus. Are you saying @cantgetin that arriving at 3 should be east enough to get on the ship? First time VV cruiser so not sure how I have so late a time..
  13. Anyone have experience if this excursion is a guided tour or are we on our own in Delos? The VV description isn’t clear and customer service didn’t know.
  14. Clarification- it was NCL https://www.wsj.com/articles/this-cruise-line-cant-turn-you-down-5672d9c9
  15. Was on Apex just 2 weeks ago. It’s a beautiful ship with a very relaxing color scheme. We enjoyed food, entertainment, and crew members were fantastic. Not once did they say no. Determine if you would like the Infinite Veranda. We enjoyed it tremendously but it’s not for everyone.
  16. The drop in cruise stocks is related to Carnival the company releasing earnings and results underperformed to market expectations. The line is still losing money and although other publicly traded cruise companies didn’t report today it’s gui,t by association,
  17. We just disembarked from CC on a cruise over a week ago. The embarkation day lunch begins at noon in one of the MDRs (we were sailing on an Edge class ship).
  18. This is the best cruise log in a long time and this really helps with my wife’s and I upcoming cruise on Apex. Totally don’t get the appeal of White Lotus. Tried but turned off after two episodes. But like the IV, opinions can vary.
  19. This thread has been most helpful. I moved my cabin as it is one of those listed below with no hammock. VV customer service pointed me to the pictures on the website assuring me that evidences there is a hammock. Still, CruiseCritic insight >> VV customer service. Thanks all.
  20. We are booked on Greek Glow for mid September. We expect that Resilient Lady will be operating. Even if its a few weeks delayed, this wouldn't impact September.
  21. Much experience in flying US-Toronto for work. You want to avoid connecting in Toronto mainly due to the immigration clearance in Toronto. If you miss your connecting flight in Toronto, you will arrive in an area secured for US flights only. It can complicate how you get a new flight and whether you decide to leave the secured area or into the other parts of Pearson - but you'll be at the mercy of AC. Oh, and AC doesn't have allowance for hotel and meal stays if you miss a connection. A buddy of mine spent the night on the floor of Pearson b/c they missed a connecting flight to London (with 20 kids but that's a different story). Don't book assuming all goes well with the flight - book assuming something goes wrong and you minimize your frustration.
  22. I am looking to book a XL Sea Terrace for a VV Mediterranean cruise. Does the forward placement of the cabins Increase the awareness of the ship rolling in any rough waters?
