Thanks to you both! We are on a 15 day cruise SAN-FLL Panama Canal. Inquiring minds....
-
Just curious, as we do not have any children, when March Break is? I do believe it is somewhat different everywhere but we are wondering if it will be done by the time we go on our Panama Cruise March 30th. Just asking...
-
I have them all but they are at my other home and won't be there till mid week if you don't mind waiting.
-
Maasdam's Pinnacle is delightful.
I love the Venetian Glass pieces displayed throughout. :)
Maasdam is certainly one of our most favourite ships!!!

Jacqui, as we all know food is very subjective. I enjoyed them. Are they worth the extra charge...I have to agree with solocanadian. Are they better than the one in the MDR? I'd have to say the same. They were all plunked on a plate also with the butter a piece of parsley and a quarter lemon. It still took some work to get all the meat out of their halved shells. To be fair I don't know what I was expecting....Would I order them again, probably not. Than again I was not impressed with the PG. We both much preferred the older menu. We will give this menu another try on our upcoming Panama Cruise and hope that it will change our minds..Everyone in life has to allow for a one off.JMO

We did have to pay $20 for my crab legs and there was NO discount applied to them. This was when we were on the NA Jan 26/2014.

Well, I must say I am a little embarrassed here. Much as I love the recognition, for which I thank you all greatly, I am not used to having the spotlight shown on me so brightly.
I love participating here because I enjoy the camaraderie, enjoy talking about cruising, and like sharing what I know. Helping is not about recognition, though, so I would prefer that we all turn off that spotlight now, and focus on the other threads.
Thanks.
Just one little more "thanks" from me RuthC as well. I hope to have the pleasure one of sailing with you and meeting you face to face. I always carry chocolate with me;)

If WE do not want ANYONE entering our cabin, I always make sure I have the "privacy please" inserted our room key slot with the bolt as well. This works not only on cruise ships but also hotels as well.

I'm here, I'll be watching! My hairdresser and his parents are on this one!!!:D
-
What cruise have you booked? We also have booked for this December.
-
I like your approach but then you have radicals such as CruiseWhere who want a cruise in Paradise (LOL). I don`t know what room he is referring to where wine drinkers have to pay...
My dear Quebecois friend, if you have been paying attention to the new rules regarding the wine policy you would have than read that you now can bring on unlimited bottles but with a fee for each bottle....put that in your pipe and smoke it...charge smokers as well!! DUHHH...
-
Very simple.....no smoking, unless HAL can create a "Smoking Room" where you pay an additional charge to smoke in there as do the wine drinkers!
-
I'm here all week.
So am I! Try the veal and tip your waitresses.
P.S. That's stale.....think about what you just asked....
-
And may I add...just as HAL has changed the wine policy it is only a matter of time for the smoking policy to change as well....suck it up buttercups;)
-
Thank you so very much John, appreciate the info! Going to miss Capt Pieter Bos :(
-
Dear John!!! LOL!
Do you know who the officers etc.. will be on the 15 day Veendam Sailing SAN to FLL March 30th ?
Thank you.
Regards!
-
I wish HAL would adopt the no smoking on the balconies/verandahs.
You are truly preaching to the choir!!! It can't come soon enough for me!!!
-
We just did the 18 day Hawaiian Cruise on the Veendam in Dec 2013 and there was not a complaint to be had! As a matter of fact we will be back on her in March for a 15 day Panama Canal Cruise.
The staff was phenomenal. Food was great. If I have one issue it would only be the aft "Seaview" deck where there are only little shallow hot tubs. IMO it's a waste of space and ruins the view that might be had there.
-
We always call Ship Services, 1-800-541-1576 in advance of our cruises and have put in the request with them. They have always been more than helpful with requests.
-
How do they limit access to the Neptune "lounge"? Is it staffed? Key Card?
It is staffed and yes you do need your room card.
-
Thanks, guys, wish you all were going with us! Warm weather here we come!
