If you empty your own fridge, be very careful. My DSIL & DBIL did this on the Noordam, placing their items on the counter directly above the fridge. They were charged for the full contents of the minibar. I'm pretty sure that they got the charge fixed, but if it were me, I would call and request that room service/beverage department personnel empty the fridge for me.
You took the words and thoughts right out of my mouth POA1! I have just contacted Ship Services and have put in a request for our fridge to be emptied and only filled with Corona!

Thank to all for their "positive" replies!!:D

Our mini fridge is always stocked with wine, spirits, beer and pop/soda and as 4* Mariners we are entitled to 50% off mini bar purchases.
My question is this... if we ask ship services to clear our fridge/mini bar and only stock it with beer daily will we still receive our 50% discount?

We're sailing on the Zuiderdam on Monday and we're flying to Fort Lauderdale tomorrow, so we're in the midst of last-minute packing.
DW asked a question I couldn't answer. Does lipstick/lipgloss count as a liquid in the eyes of the TSA? Must it be in a baggy? Or, can she carry it in her purse.
I checked the TSA website, but it is a bit vague, at least to me. It just says that "Liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes must be 3.4 ounces (100ml) or less per container; must be in 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag".
Is lipstick considered a cream? Any women out there who have successfully gotten lipstick through in their purses? Anyone had it confiscated?
Just leave it in her makeup back in her purse. Lipstick is not considered a cream, gel or liquid, nor is lip gloss.

JMO, but I/we have had no use whatsoever for the CD. Personally I find them standoffish, cool, annoying, almost a greater then though attitude. I suppose if you are personal friends etc it may be different, but have never had a warm and fuzzy feeling with them.

I didn't know you couldn't climb it any more - like you, I'm glad we went when you still could. Boy did I ever hold on to that rope! I went down backwards.
Some of the local tour companies have an option to fly directly from Cozumel to Chichen Itza. Obviously more expensive, but that's the option we chose when we were there because we didn't want to spend so much time on the road.
You can not longer climb.
I would fly in a minute as opposed to the bus drive:p:p

That makes sense except that when the "S" or "SA/SB" cabins are sold out it still shows them but faded out....
-
Can anyone explain why, quite often on some that when you look what "types" of cabins are available it never shows the PS?
When we look online even when the PS or any other category of cabin is sold it looks faded out. Now on a number of cruises it would appear that there is not even a PS to purchase...:confused:
-
My curiosity is getting the better of me on this one so I think I'm going to start a new thread. Perhaps I/we can get some answers there.

We've had no problems disembarking San Diego. Most recent was last Dec 2013 from an 18 day Hawaiian and prior a Panama Canal. As we usually have an 10:30 or thereabouts flight and we keep our luggage with us and disembark at the earliest time. There may not be as many officer as in Ft. Lauderdale, it has however for us been quick.
-
What I don't understand is that some of the cruises show the PS, even though it is fades out to show it has been booked, and I understand that. However some cruises don't even show the PS as a selection of cabin, sold or not:confused::confused:
-
Exactly. I'm having a hard time believing that's the story.
Still would love to know the answer to this!!!! Anyone???

One of my US-born friends says that satire is lost on Americans. I should know better to even try.
I hear ya!!

So people don't tie up the room by making an online reservation that blocks the room for 24+ hours and then don't follow through,
Call me blonde but I still don't understand how that works???!! How does Joe Average that wants to book a PS know if it's available???
-
Sometimes the Penthouse is not listed on the Website even if it or they are available. If you have changed your mind, call HAL
I've noticed that as well! Can anyone explain?
-
I'd take the PS in a minute! DH and I were offered an upsell to the PS from our Neptune Suite on our 18 day Circle Hawaii and we took it immediately!
-
We already have free dinner in the specialty restaurants and free alcohol. Can you use it towards gratuities and I guess photos??
I'm just curious how you receive free alcohol;)
-
We have always had a bottle of Sparkling Wine in our Suite and occasionally as well in the Neptune Lounge, and always a bottle of champagne in our PS.
-
Everything!!!

Maybe that's what it's like where you are but I've never seen a joint rolled with tobacco. That said, my "experience" dates back 25-30 years:D. I've never rolled one myself, just seen it done.
I also have never seen a joint rolled with tobacco unless they are using hash oil:rolleyes:
