Very nice hotel but expensive. It all depends on your budget and amount of luggages. Any hotel close to a skytrain station should work since the Waterfront skytrain station is only half a block from cruise terminal.

Blow out sale seldom last for more than a week as cheap rooms get snapped up pretty quick. If you come late or miss the big sale, chances are the good deals are gone.

Bring a pair of wings with you.

Many employers need a new hire to start asap because the previous employee left and work place is short handed. You can pop the question about delaying the starting date for a good valid reason but I wouldn't consider going on a cruise first to be one of them.

Try Karaoke night. May be you will find the singing waiters there. NCL now has talent shows performed by reg ship crews (not the NCL pro performers). Blew me away how good some of F&B and housekeeping staff can sing and dance.

I always buy one to get the $100 OBC. The best part I like is you or your associates have 4 long years to use the reward. Surely, one can find another NCL cruise to go within that 4 year period.

Cruising is still the best value, so far. :D
With or without lobster in MDR and hassle free. Just get on board and enjoy.

Some people are clueless what For Profit business means.

One thing you need to take into account is Alaska one way cruise (either N or S bound) is always cheaper than round trip. So you need to factor in the price of return flight from Alaska in order to compare both options.

I paid $399pp last year. That said, there is no guarantee history will repeat itself.

We try to cruise 1-2 times a year.
But, I know LOTS of people that never cruise, and some cruisers that go only once a year.
Cruising is definitely catching on and growing fast worldwide. Last year, 10 million Americans went cruising in US alone.

Is this what you would call Freestyle Hating?

I would definitely support your one lobster pp limit policy. I am sure the ones who ordered 4 or 5 lobsters in NCL MDR previously kind of ruining a good thing for everyone else.

Oooops, wrong thread.

Thank you for all the great information on this board, my question is regarding the 5/1 Dawn Sailing out of Boston to Bermuda, do you think that the current prices will go down at the 55 day mark? I'm talking about the lower end pricing, insides, ocean view, maybe a balcony.:)
Check # of rooms available is usually a good indication which way prices will go.

They can also get bacon at Denny's
Should NCL eliminate Bacon to reduce cost as well ?

Either eliminate lobster and keep cruise affordable or NCL put lobster back on the menu and raise the cruise price. Pick your poison because it comes out of your pocket either way.

I've never had Indian food. Does anyone have pics of the Tandoor food or can you explain some of the dishes? What is naan?
If you like hot spicy food, it's heaven. If you don't, be prepared to have a burning sensation in the loo the day after.

Holiday Inn Express Miami Airport. Nice clean place. Free breakfast buffet and airport shuttle pick up 24/7. It also has direct shuttle service to cruise ship terminal for $10 pp.

It seems lately, NCL is having blow out sales earlier than the 55 day threshold. This is true on 2 cruises I was tracking. My humble advice is if the cruise price looks good, make you move before cheap rooms are all gone.
-
OK, I get it you are not happy. But you didn't say if you got a good deal on your cruise. Did you? Not saying this is you. But people who pay 3 star cruise price but expecting 5 star cruise experience are just not being realistic.

Seems like a real hassle for $160 in free money
Never say NO to free money.

All bake goods on the ship are made fresh daily. Dry? Where do you get this idea from?
-
Since they did away with the Chocoholic Buffet, I think they should at least leave the tea alone!! ;) Just Sayin'
Nope, NCL still has chocolate night at the buffet.

If you see how much perfectly good food is wasted and dumped out by cruise passengers everyday, you would be cutting back too as a NCL CEO. Can't run a profitable op with costs that are out of control.

Nail clipper, mouth wash, laundry soap, cork screw if you are bringing wine.
