We sailed Sapphire in September to Alaska and she felt perfectly designed for the voyage. Lots of viewing spots, inside and out. Our cabin on Aloha had a covered deck that kept us dry. Something to consider as some are more open to the elements than others.

Cabin attendant, waiter, hostess are all tipped at or near the end of the cruise. We see them daily. Bartenders and bar servers aren’t there every day. So I tip them by the drink. I would feel bad if someone gave great service all cruise long and I couldn’t find them on the final night.

We add a tip when we order a drink whether from a bar server or directly from a bartender. We like to establish a friendly relationship with the bartenders and servers and adding a buck or two keeps them attentive to our needs. I’ve never discerned a negative attitude when failing to tip extra, however.

I wear a size medium men’s t-shirt. I could have wrapped the bathrobe around myself at least one and a half times. Mrs BV is small to extra small petite and could have wrapped hers around herself twice.

You should be able to do this. I order off the regular menu the night before and they prepare my food to my specifications. They have a kitchen dedicated to special diets but the food is only a variation of the regular menu.

Fo me, it’s not a special menu. It’s dinner for the following night, the regular menu. I select what I want and the headwaiter has it prepared within my dietary restrictions (no dairy). When we sit down the following night, I tell my server I have pre ordered and the name of my headwaiter. After a night or two, they remember. I ask at the buffet, and someone from the kitchen wearing a tall hat tours me through the line and tells me what I can or cannot eat.

Loyalty programs have been watered down for years. The only time a new tier is added, benefits at lower levels are reduced. There is no advantage to Princess adding another level and increasing benefits. Don’t hold your breath. Ships are sailing full.

Stranger things have happened, but I can’t imagine the software recognizing you used your credit card for a canceled cruise and refusing to take it again because of that. Unless there’s a “fool me once” line in the code somewhere. i am not surprised that the “help line” hung upon you when they couldn’t fix the problem.

Go to YouTube and look for videos of rock concerts. Any close-up of the performers should reveal the ear plugs they wear to protect their ears from the sounds that they are making. Many have suffered serious hearing loss over the years. If it’s good enough for Pete Townsend, you shouldn’t worry about what others see and think.

That’s what I saw on CB in March - multiple copies of several games but few books. Just to add to the chatter, I have used the kindle app on my iPad for over 10 years. I still buy a book or two in paperback, but don’t lug them around with me when traveling. if you spotted me in the waiting room at Pep Boys this morning looking at my phone, I was not playing games or surfing, I was reading Kurt V’s Breakfast of Champions for the umpteenth time.
