  1. We will be on the Carnival Valor stopping at Cozumel on August 10th. According to the itinerary we are there from 10 - 6. Our plan was to do Chankanaab on our own and I see they are offering both the Manatee & Sea Lion interaction for $90. Is there enough to time to do both? Does anyone know how long each experience lasts?

    Thank you

  2. We took our first family cruise in November. It was myself, husband and 9yo son. Since neither my son or husband had cruised before I picked a 5 day cruise to the Bahamas. This way we only had 1 sea day where I had to worry if they would be bored or get sea sick.

My suggestion is to look at the ports you want to cruise from and see what's available. Pick itineraries that interest you. Then you can research and ask questions about just those ships.

We had a great time and are taking our second trip this August.

  3. I like having my room ready when we board and receiving my luggage early. This way we can drop our carry on items before getting lunch and then I can unpack and relax before dinner while my husband and son are at the pool.

  4. Thank you for the different perspective. My son and I want to do this but my husband keeps asking what are we going to see and do that would be different then if we went tubing here at home. If there is nothing to see in the cave then maybe he is right. I hate when that happens. :)

  5. We are currently booked in Cabin 7341 on the Valor. Does anyone know if they still have a self serve laundry? If so I will need to move my cabin fast while I still have options. I picked that room because my husband and son want to be close to the elevator but I will give that up to avoid the noise of people doing laundry at all hours.

  6. I like it for a few reasons: My husband and son are both impatient and drive me crazy when we wait in long lines and I like to send them off to the pool while unpack and relax after all the pre-cruise craziness. If our room wasnt ready early I (not the guys) would be responsible for lugging around and watching the carry on bags. So for me it's $50 well spent.

  7. I have Marriott points so I was considering staying at either the Residence Inn or Marriott Courtyard. Both claim to be in Cocoa Beach and trip advisor seems to have similiar feedback for both.

Which would you choose and why for our pre-cruise stay. We will have a car we will be a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 9yo).

    Thanks

  8. I thought I read here that the rental companies delay taking you to the port until the get the ok from the cruise lines. We wanted to avoid that as my husband likes to board ASAP (we have FTTF). If I misread then we will use the shuttle.

    Thanks again for everyones help.
