  1. Went to the Behind the Scenes talk. Very interesting re lighting and sound. Much more technical than previous tours which seemed to involve looking at the pretty ( tatty) costumes!
  2. Definitely Tetleys chez nous! @cublet And haven’t seen any flipping Half and Half at all!! But Skimmed available everywhere ✅
  3. There is a huge price difference between V2 and V3 unfortunately.
  4. That question is still in the survey. Doesn’t seem to stop them! We are in AIG
  5. We were there too. I thought they were better as Coldplay rather than U2!
  6. It’s the second formal/ dress your best night. About 60% didn’t get the memo. For the 3rd time we get the blaring music and Begging for 🔟 at dinner…. Even when we say Stop 🛑 you aren’t meant to do this, they still continue with their speil… we won’t get a day off if you don’t give us a 🔟, I won’t get promotion if you don’t give me a 🔟… 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
  7. Thinking about booking but it’s been many years since we’ve been on! Please remind me which are the best V3 cabins? Any hidden gems? thanks 🙏
  8. Stavanger is stunning! What a gem. Parked right in town, overlooking the beautiful old cobbled town area of White Houses and lovely gardens Then easy stroll into the charming centre, stylish shopping 🛍️ ( yes there is a Zara), coffee shops, and a very pretty street called Fargegaten
  9. Yesterday was White Night. I’d say 70% of the ship didn’t get the message!! We watched Spectres ( again!) just love that show but thought the main guy was very weak on vocals
  10. @fionat my friend advises me that they have sachets of Nescafé in their room so who knows!
  11. @fionat You don’t have to ask as there are kettles in all cabins on Anthem ( and ex UK 🇬🇧 sailings) The teabags are Tetleys. ✅ They don’t do sachets of coffee in the normal cabins - they have some pod coffee maker in JS and up ( I don’t drink coffee so have never taken any notice)! You can get a carton of skimmed milk from the WJ to keep in your fridge. I am onboard now.
  12. About 20 mins.. we got back to the bottom at noon and the return bus was 12:30
  13. We were/are on same bus (?) but we walked to 🥾 the glacier. Took about 45 mins Booking independently cost around $50pp *feeling virtuous! 😇
  14. We are on the 9:30 bus to a glacier. Are you ? Not a ships tour
  15. Our train was late arriving up at the top… we were held for a long time at the crossing point; so we literally had 4 mins at the top … we got off to take a photo, saw the time of departure and legged it back on again!!
  16. Yes there was a section of a carriage reserved - I assume for ships tours. The people following the lollipop walked past our carriage towards the front. The rest of us had free choice of where to sit on the train, it was about 6 carriages long I think
  17. Walked around the small village, bought a coat that was 50% cheaper than I saw it yesterday in Bergen ( the clothing shop along the water further along from the station!) Take your passport for an VAT reduction refund! Did NS. Went to the Flowrider to find @mil76 but he hadn’t come out to play! and then you jump in the water! A great day! Now it’s time for a beer!
  18. We took the Flam railway. Booked online for 740NOK/ $63 - same train /seats as the RCI tour for $110🤦‍♀️ Sit on right side going up for stunning views. The weather Gods were kind to us today you can see how close the train station 🚉 is to the ship ! We took the 9.30 train up and back which returned at 11.35 At noon we had booked the bus to the Stegastein lookout. 460NOK/ $42. I may be exaggerating when I say the bus stop 🚏 was 50 paces from the train station! It takes 30 mins for the little vans to climb up the mountain. But the views… No one mentioned the glass at the end! That’s what I call a loo with a view!
  19. We were asked probably 15 times ( I’m not kidding) during dinner about the food , the service yadda yadda…. afraid the last guy that came round got snapped at. If I see the HD I will mention this. As a P I have never experienced this overkill on any other cruise!! 1:0 ⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👍 ps: when are we going to meet?
  20. The continual badgering for 10s is getting on my nerves. They need to learn us Brits do not do this overkill service stuff! And we don’t rush our food down in 40 minutes. Rant over. Off to watch the England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 football ⚽️ match!!
  21. Unique to UK cruises… a gin menu … and you can get slimline tonic!!! #ginheaven! It’s time for a 404. * or to cruises with a large British contingent
  22. A day of sunshine and light showers ( which given how often it rains in Bergen we got off lightly! ) We arrived at noon and were off by 12:15. Pleasant stroll into town, walked around the fish market, and scenic Bryggen areas. A few touristy shops were open.
