    This year RCI ran a transfer from Bologna airport to the port for around $30pp iirc.

    Fabulous port, narrow streets with amazing restaurants, a beautiful cathedral, a good walk up to the castle. One of my favourite ports.

    And on Independence. Forever! Saturday Night Fever was on Freedom I think.

    I heard that Mamma Mia is the full length show as Bjorn would not let them change a thing.

    No noise, but 9108 was the “wrong way round” imho with the bed by the window so I wouldn’t recommend that configuration! Go for 9106 which is one further along.

    Going on my first YC cruise next week (WE)… I’ve read about the newspaper, the bottle of spirits in the cabin, the canapés morning and afternoon; free Wi-Fi…the butler sweeping others out of your way ( yes I’m looking at you @kernow!!) - is there anything else I should expect?

    My friend was in the room next door so it’s just taken from the hallway with both doors open. Not connected.

    I’ve had these forward facing cabins twice on Wonder and loved them. Make sure you get the configuration where the bed is next to the bathroom as you will have far more room and not bang your head on the sloped ceiling!

    Villefranche- very easy and cheap to take the train into Nice or into Monte Carlo if they are interested in formula 1

    Ajaccio is a cute little town; with a beach within an easy walk of the ship. Usually has a market set up in the square and there’s Napoleon for some history. You dock right in town too.

    Love that route with overnight in HK! Wonder what the prices will be like as the original sailings were dirt cheap…something like $2200 for 2 in a balcony. Sadly didn’t fit in with our schedule for 2023

    Yes you apply for the visa beforehand, and it will be issued approx 2 days before you get to Saudi. All reports are that Saudis were very friendly and welcoming and happy to see tourists. If you don’t take a ships tour then MSC run a free ( yes free!) shuttle bus to Khobar which is on outskirts of Damman, waterfront shops and restaurants etc

    And World Europa is docked in Saudi for the first time! Of course no alcohol can be served whilst in port and all mini bars in the cabins have also been cleared of alcohol.

    What is the drinks price limit with the YC package please? is room service complimentary in YC?

    Yes, they have received the visas today onboard, for the stop in Damnan tomorrow

    How strange! Perhaps they think as we are in YC we should pay more lol!
