A friend of ours tried the strategy of checked luggage - dirty clothes, etc.

End of story - bottles broke, clothes ruined.

I was also wondering if some of the crew has better quarters - e.g. the skaters in the ice show are true professionals. Do they have better quarters than say the maintenance staff?

Max Friedman, the famous avant garde artist. He actually conducted the art auction and gave away autographed lithographs of "Pigs Can Fly - An Impressionistic Study of the Aerodynamics of Heavier than Air Flight in 3-D Perspective." We had it framed and it sits above our living room air conditioner.

I think it depends on the department you send it to. I usually have questions about excursions and find I get an answer back in 1-2 days.

That's because excursions make money for them. I finally got a response to my Saturday email today! It said --- wait until May for an answer.

Doesn't seem to be too good a way to run a business!

I sent RCL an email last Saturday regarding credit for a past cruise (it was our fifth). It's now six days later and still no response. Is this typical? Can I even expect a response?

Thanks, Jan. I'm glad transfers can be booked on board the ship for the return to Fort Lauderdale. If you want to save $3 person, I learned that Florida limos has a $17 rate from the Fort Lauderdale airport to the Port of Miami, but they have no return service. No reservations are required and they have booths outside baggage claim.

Thanks again, Serene. Northwest is our airline of choice, but they only have connecting flights from LGA to FLL or MIA. In addition, USAir was offering roundtrips at $120. If we miss our cruise, however, it will be a very expensive bargain!

Thanks again, Serene. We're arriving in FLL about 1PM. Unfortunately, our flight is on USAir which had major problems during Christmas. Let's hope they get their act together by the 8th!

Thanks for your response. There are two of us travelling on Voyager of the Seas on January 8th. RCCL said O/W transfers were available at $20 each per person but they had to be booked by my "travel agent." It seemed kind of funny that RCCL could not book this directly. Well, my "travel agent" is an internet auction sight that apparently doesn't do this sort of stuff. Any insight is appreciated! Thank you.

Are there any reasonable transfers available from FLL to the Port of Miami? Thanks!
