  1. First timers…… You wont be a last timer… To many people are choosing now and spending the family inheritance price keep going up so its gotta be great. Use your butler and enjoy the morning breakfast and espresso.
  2. Thanks Kat. Hopefully nobody gets upset but it seemed like what was needed to be done
  3. There are 2 Eclipse April 7 cruise threads. Can they be merged
  4. I admit that even as many cruises as we have taken i was still a little uncomfortable with extra tipping in Luminae. I asked and confirmed again that they do pool the tips so it was easier for us to give any extra tip to the Maitre’D and allow him to pool. It’s still weird tho seeing many others giving tips to individuals, while we did not. Oh well that’s just the nature of American tipping system. I will have to say the fun part about tipping is always having $1 and $5 bills and tipping those at the pool, bars, restrooms and food servers up in the cafe. Yes you always get a smile and a thank you. What’s cool about that is, it’s not at all expected and thus the extra smile. We were on a B2B last year and sent a shirt to laundry asking if a butter stain could be removed. Yes it was 😊. We sent a small tip to the person in Laundry and then wrote a note in comments with his name. He then got pulled up during the last day of cruise for outstanding employees I doubt the tip was as important as he getting called up by the Captain. So its a lot of things you can do or not the make the difference to crew and us when you see that big smile 😊. Sorry rambling
  5. Jagoffee i believe you are right on both points. We just made several changes and no penalties
  6. Ok. Good news. My 1st booking was made last July so i will get and FCC for the $900 deposit. A non refundable going forward when cancelled you will loose. I had a refundable made after March and used it to book a later cruise in April. They waved the $200 and applied the full $900 to the new booking. Not sure if they will continue to wave but it worked this time. Some more confusion. I did refundable booking today on the b2b2b to Liberty NJ and they only charged me $500 deposit for a suite LOL. Anyways the celebrity folks were very helpful. No they are not the bad guys but just the messenger Happy cruise bookings. Not sure i got all the answers
  7. Yes Things are changing fast. You had lots of option right after covid startup. Not now. Gonna make the calls and verify before doing anything. June 1 is suppose to change things even more
  8. Wow typed in refundable deposit and found a boat load of info. For refundable. It looks like you will be charged $100 per person to transfer to another cruise. As of June 1 non refundable will be exactly that So if you hold for $900 suite you lose its all with non refundable. Gottta call and check tommorow
  9. So i can still transfer a refundable booking but loose $100 per person?or $100 per cabin? Gotta be careful lol. Cruises getting expensive and complicated
  10. Thanks prmssk I since we cruise celebrity all the time If we cancel the refundable but book another cruise is it true you only loose $100 of the $900 deposit You just apply the other to the next cruise???
  11. Hi looking at b2b2b. Like to hold the rooms. The cost is higher for refundable by far. Some say you can wait till as late as final payment and then take the non refundable. However not sure the price will be the same. Will the non refundable price be the same at final payment or has it gone higher on others bookings. Any experience i would like to hear. Thanks.
  12. Actually. We were both made Zenith last April. Kinda did not want to seem like bragging. Almost let it lapse since you only have 12 months to use or loose I had to book something last minute for 7 days Veranda and was told we can rebook and not loose.
  13. Thanks It’s sounds like the ships are very similar. This is very helpful and allows us to pick the itinerary we prefer rather than the Edge ship. It looks like they will credit normal balcony cost and allow us to even use for upgraded cabins As always. Great info on Cruise critic.
  14. Hi. We have yet to travel on any of the new Edge ships. We have a free have gotten a free Veranda to use Via a future cruise credit. Which Edge ship do you recommend or does it really matter? Thanks
  15. What excited us about the Celebrity Suite was it was $6800 including Drinks, gratuities Plus they gave $1200 on board credit. So real cost was only $560 per day on the 10 day cruise. Also separate bedroom which is really nice if 1 likes to sleep later in the morning Aqua class was $4500. Can’t remember how much onboard credit. It was all inclusive $450/day Veranda Guarantee was $2000 but nothing included. $200/day These are numbers above we have seen before and depending the occasion we might choose anyone but the point i was trying to make is that the recent increase in cost for a suites has made it not even thinkable for us to consider. Yes if the prices dont come down we will certainly consider other cruise lines. I hate to say but $$$ does count. LOL😊
  16. Cost of Suites Looked out 18 months and still cant find a reasonably priced suite. $2000 per day for 2 is just ridiculous We somehow got a Celebrity Suite for 10 nights at $6800 total on the April 26 2023, Summit. That’s $680 per day (total) and they gave $1200 onboard credit. We booked it in early January. 2023. Granted ship is only 2/3 full but suites are gone. That’s a great price for us with all those perks. Suites have got to come down in price or verandas here we come. MSC Yacht Club may even try. Hate to even say that. We have sailed Celebrity forever.
  17. DaKaHuna. Looking forward to hearing your review. It’s On Summit correct ??
  18. Healthy low carb choices are certainly available on Buffett or in MDR. Portion size is of course is a must Choice of alcohol For us wine is just not always the best choice. Over straight liquor on the rocks. Also pick the times to indulge. No point in drinking all day. Enjoy in the evening during shows and after Diet sodas and limit the sugar mixers with drinks However it is a vacation so you’re not gonna be perfect. Be responsible but have a good time 😊
  19. Food in all restaurants are still good The Buffett area can be a little limited depending on the day. Pizza has always been a little hit and miss, that’s why we will go and ask for our own toppings and a greasy pizza.
  20. It’s been 5 years since we embarked out of Miami. We’re going on summit in a couple of weeks, is there a separate area to check in with a suite? Thanks
  21. What’s crazy though even during startup the suites were all booked and really very few deals. Now all other cabins were a steal. Lol
