I'm not sure of the answer to the question, but I'd like to commend you for waiting eight years to make your first post. That's patience!

What's worse is one of these jokers who got up crop dusted right in front of us. Someone also did this in the stairwell to the theater when debarking.
I literally laughed out loud.
That's a bummer when that happens and there's no escape!

I don't care. Growing up being raised by my grandfather, the only time I ever saw a tablecloth was during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.
Looks like the results of this poll isn't really what some were hoping it would be...

You can trust me not to walk off with it. Cups, schmups.
I agree with Joey. That must be one hell of a cup! $40!

Ice "cream" is a misnomer. It's ice milk with copious amounts of chemical additives.
Well, the ice milk and all of its additives are delicious!

Not saying you didn't do this because I wasn't there, but instead of thinking about why you don't want a newbie there next time you have to simply go around them on the stairs, maybe ask them where they're going and help them out if they look confused.
You might make a friend.

The curiosity finally got me and I did the math on one popular poster's per day average and it was over 30!
Retired, sick, or healthy, that's a big number of mostly fluff posts.

Probably would have been cheaper and less of a logistical nightmare to have an existing and established land based brewery contract brew exclusive NCL beers for every ship in the fleet.

No, you are comparing an eating establishment with a hotel establishment, two different things completely. Now if you had said "try putting your tray in the hall at a Days Inn" you would have been making an apples to apples comparision, but one that wouldn't mean much because Days Inns don't offer room service. Mariott hotels offer room service though and I see trays in the hallway every time I stay in one.
I wouldn't try too hard to sway them to your side of the debate.
It appears as if they've never been in a four or five star hotel and seen trays in the hallways. Now, this is just me, but I would never call them a lower class of person because of that, like they seem to be implying about people that do that on cruise lines.
I certainly don't consider myself lower class when I grab a chicken sandwich for lunch at Wendy's. Kinda like I don't feel high class when we go to a Michelin star establishment.

We just got off the Inspiration and it was fabulous!!! I highly recommend!
We did Inspiration a couple months ago. I agree that with the 2.0 upgrades, it's a really fun ship!
We're doing Imagination's first four day out of dry dock on 9-25. Even though they're sister ships, and almost identical, we're looking forward to seeing which ship we enjoy more!

I have actually watched a lady open her cabin door, take her tray down the hall and leave it outside some random door! Unbelievable!
This seems to happen to my wife and I every cruise. We used to get peeved when we saw it. Now we just shrug it off and put our stuff next to it.
I'll never understand why people do this. It's like they're embarrassed they utilized room service.

Nice. My wife and I are currently planning to see Hamilton in Los Angeles next fall, then hop on a four day out of Long Beach. Great timing!

Similar to my husbands request, why can I bring a bottle of wine but not a 6-pack of beer on board the first day? Obviously he is a beer drinker not a wine drinker.
If he drinks good beer, tell him I've successfully brought on two bombers instead of two bottles of wine on both cruises I've tried this on. I hedged my bets by making sure the beers I chose to bring were corked much like wine.
Worked like a charm!

According to the TSA, if travelers get there two hours before a domestic, or three hours before an international, they'll make their flight.
Isn't that the way it's always been?
-
For those who have traveled out of Long Beach, is FTTF worth it? We have 5 and 3 year olds, so would rather not wait in line more than we need to.
My wife and I found it pretty worthwhile for our cruise on Inspiration a couple months ago. We never waited in any lines for a tender or Guest Services. It was also nice having the room ready as soon as we got on. In fact, we bought it again for our cruise on Imagination in September.
You will wait if you check in at 9:30, but the Queen Mary is free to Carnival cruisers with their sign and sail card and a great way to kill a couple hours.

We've been on Royal's Freedom of the Seas and Carnival's Inspiration (post 2.0 upgrades).
We actually enjoyed Carnival more. Their customer service and the friendliness of the staff is what made us choose another Carnival cruise over another Royal Caribbean sailing.
That said, we also have sailings booked on Norwegian and MSC, but plan on staying loyal to Carnival in the long term due to price, convenience of ports to us, and great customer service.
That's not to say we won't ever sail RC again, just not anytime in the next few years.

293 until we're on Dawn!

Thanks for the review. It was great! It's a long shot, but we might have an adopted child around your daughter's age when we sail on Dawn in February, so it was great hearing your little one enjoyed the kid's club.

160 until we're on Imagination!

What I find odd about this post is that so many people assumed the OP didn't have insurance. They never mentioned in the post if they had insurance or not. The just wanted to know who to call. Maybe they did and wanted to know if they had to contact Carnival or an insurance company.
How I long for the days when this board use to be friendly and helpful.
The irony of this post is there's no REAL info in it to help the OP. How is that friendly or helpful?
OP, I hope you got a satisfactory resolution.
-
Sorry to hear of your loss, OP. I also apologize on behalf of all the absolutely perfect people here who have never made a mistake, or have never lost anyone suddenly. Must feel great.
I, for one, hope you get at least a future cruise credit provided you have the right documentation.

There was never any WCMC on the buffet on Inspiration. I was kind of bummed about it.
Yes, they often served the same food as the MDR. Not everything, though.

Actually, she was trying to fly in the *night* before (9 pm) and got booked on a flight the next morning (9 am). But she landed by noon and made the cruise.
This is another example of why it's so important to fly in to your cruise at least 24 hours in advance. I have personally witnessed 2 occasions in my cruising history where that extra 24 hours was a godsend. It would have been in this lady's case as well.
I'm not sure six or seven hours would have made a difference in this case.
Flying in the night before qualifies in my book as flying in the day before. It's all semantics after that.

Per cabin. Wife and I did it on the Inspiration a couple months ago and really enjoyed it. Already picked it up for our cruise in September. We usually take the earliest nonstop we can day of sailing due to our jobs, and having the rooms ready for a few ZZZs when we arrive is worth every penny.
