  1. The G category suites are quite small compared to the F and above. They also have queen beds compared with king beds in F and above.
  2. Back again. We have been on 6 safaris over the past 15 years. Our first one was going to be our bucket list trip, one and done. When we got back from the first one we looked at each other and said we have to do this again. There is something unbelievably surreal about seeing the amazing animals close at hand. I remember one time when we were sitting in the safari vehicle just past sunset listening to a lion roar about 10 feet from where we were. Talk about the hair standing up on your head! We have mostly done 9-10 day safaris. We are going back one more (?) time in 2025 for 11 days. Recommend the Kruger/Sabi Sand area. Leopard Hills is wonderful, as is Mala Mala Rattrays. Lion Sands has several different camps at various price points. Pretty much each of the above are wonderful in their own ways and provide a fantastic experience both with their accommodations and game viewing. Check out their websites.
  3. Highly recommend you book your own safari pre- or post cruise. I will get back later with a couple suggestions as I have to run out right now.
  4. You have to be prepared for the possibility that the weather during the Antarctic peninsula cruising part may not be great. It may be lovely, but it may also be as it was for us; three days of rain, fog and 30 ft. seas.
  5. Hello Mr. Moore, @Mike Moore I am having a similar problem. I’m trying to add a new booking but it tells me an error has occurred and to try again later. I’ve been trying for the past week. Thank you
  6. I would agree with irishwitchy. Having played in both an orchestra and a band (albeit in high school 😉) the RSO is definitely a band. Still excellent though.
  7. When we have been on a B2B, on the turnaround day I always tell our room stewards that I will leave our Privacy sign out all day. They have so much to do I like to do a little something to help out. They then come in while we are out to dinner and have the room nice and tidy for bedtime. They have been very appreciative of this gesture.
  8. We were on this same basic cruise this past September. Edinburgh we missed because of the Queen's funeral but had been before where we did the Royal Mile walking tour. I remember it as being interesting. Invergordon we did the Cawdor Castle and Culloden Battlefield tour. Castle was a gem with beautiful gardens. The battlefield is just a field with some flags showing where each side was, but our guide's commentary made history come to life. If you are an Outlander fan you will imagine Jamie riding his horse into battle😉 By the way, our guideDonald was one of the best we have had on any tour, Regent or not. In Kirkwall the archeological wonders tour should not be missed. Skara Brae is fascinating. Ullapool is a cute little town in its own right. We did the Knockan Crag hike and discovered our guide was to be the same Donald as we had in Invergordon. The hike itself is not for everyone, narrow, rocky, steep trail that was often on the edge of a cliff. Some people apparently did not read enough of the description and wore flimsy sneakers instead of the sturdy shoes recommended. If you like geology you will be fascinated as you will see where the theory of plate tectonics originated. Since Donald was at one time the head geologist of the Highlands we had expert commentary. Even if you don't like geology the scenery is gorgeous. From Killybegs we did the Wild Sliabh Liag cliffs. It is mostly a see-it-yourself place though there is commentary on the bus ride there. Our guide on this tour was a dud, providing nothing useful. He wasn't even sure whether the tea stop should be before or after the cliffs. The cliffs themselves are beautiful, but it was very windy there. You are given about 45 minutes to wander on your own which a lot of people were not happy about. We loved it and hiked quite a way up the cliffside. Having been to Belfast a couple of times before we had done the main tours. We opted for the Traditional Irish Music Tour. A lot of fun visiting several pubs and hearing the music. In Waterford we did the walking tour. Found the tour mildly interesting.
  9. Unfortunately they are by prescription only. You also need to be careful to see how you react. It causes disorientation in some people.
  10. On Splendor right now. Quite a few dancing in the Splendor lounge at midnight.
  11. There are most likely spin classes on Explorer. We were on Splendor in March and there were spin classes. I know because they put the bikes in the small empty area, usually at the time I wanted to practice martial arts there! Have not been on Navigator in years, so not sure there.
  12. Sorry, can’t figure out how to do a quote. flossie009 and UUNetBill I don’t disagree with you, but it pays to check as we got a great deal for our upcoming September cruise on Splendor.
  13. If you book an extra night at the Regent hotel through Regent you will get a transfer from airport to hotel even if you do your own air.
  14. In the EU fully vaccinated means a booster if you are further out than 270 days from your 2nd initial dose.
  15. When the TS wonders if the home tests are acceptable, I get the feeling they are discussing the ones you do on your own. (See post # 8) The home tests that are acceptable are the ones that are proctored, so results can be verifiable.
