  1. There is no financial benefit to pre-paying gratuities. It's only a matter of choice to not have to have a bigger on board bill. And yes I know gratuities can increase. But when they do you'll still have the opportunity at that time to pre-pay at the original rate.
  2. You don't use OBC to pay for any one specific thing once on board. It's just the initial X dollars charges to your account will be covered by OBC.
  3. Is it possible that you have to be on the ship at 8pm, but the ship stays docked until the next day?
  4. According to the plan, which of course can be derailed for dozens of reasons, Pinnacle is within reach for us. Still a ways off though.
  5. I'd like to try a solo cruise but at this point, since my wife has more points than me (from her own solo cruises), it wouldn't help us chase Pinnacle.
  6. Summit goes to the city of St Johns in Antigua (same place RC goes sometimes). Not St John the USVI.
  7. Drydock, yes, but has there been any clue that she's actually getting Amped?
  8. Since the cruise is only 2 weeks out, that sailing should have all the info available.
  9. I remember seeing 3 ships near Coco Cay in July 2021. Then we left for Cozumel and passed Odyssey right before her maiden voyage.
  10. I thought solo cruisers could in fact use the BOGO for themselves.
  11. RC owns Coco Cay, purchasing it from the individual owner who they originally leased it from. The previous owner had bought it from another individual owner years ago. It's still the Bahamas and subject to Bahamas laws though. Here's an interesting history of the island, including its role as a failed shrimp farm and as a drug cartel staging area. https://www.cruisetricks.de/how-little-stirrup-cay-became-royal-caribbeans-private-island-coco-cay/
  12. You can book individual restaurants in the app, just not the packages.
  13. I still remember sitting in line at the NextCruise office, watching a guy berate the agent because his C&A discount fare was a lot more expensive than the current promo fare.
  14. I would think it'd work fine for cruise planner purchases. Give it a try.
  15. This is pretty normal. You typically cannot combine the C&A discount with any other promo.
  16. That's three (actually a dozen or so per year). Out of a couple thousand RC cruises per year.
  17. It couldn't be done? Sounds like a lazy room steward.
  18. That doesn't happen often and isn't a last minute thing either.
  19. Can you give any examples other than the one Radiance cruise?
  20. If you're ready to book, go ahead and book. It's always a risk to wait.
