There is no financial benefit to pre-paying gratuities. It's only a matter of choice to not have to have a bigger on board bill. And yes I know gratuities can increase. But when they do you'll still have the opportunity at that time to pre-pay at the original rate.

You don't use OBC to pay for any one specific thing once on board. It's just the initial X dollars charges to your account will be covered by OBC.

Is it possible that you have to be on the ship at 8pm, but the ship stays docked until the next day?

RC owns Coco Cay, purchasing it from the individual owner who they originally leased it from. The previous owner had bought it from another individual owner years ago. It's still the Bahamas and subject to Bahamas laws though. This is pretty normal. You typically cannot combine the C&A discount with any other promo.
