  1. No holes. Just stop at guest services if you need a hole punched.
  2. RC does yes, and your travel agent should, too. My TA just forwards the RC invoice, but others have their own invoice document.
  3. I won $10 once using my $6 D+ credit. I walked away quite happy.
  4. No hair dryer? Someone probably stole it along with a pool towel.
  5. We did that last Christmas for my son. We were visiting relatives first, so we packed an extra suitcase when he was at school with summer/cruise stuff. On the flight "home" our son didn't pick up on the fact something was amiss until the pilot gave his first update about how long it would take to get to Orlando. He about lost it and thought we were joking.
  6. Advising captains was never the reason they hired him. It was a PR/marketing hire to show RC was serious about the weather and to have someone to talk to passengers, not officers.
  7. True, but when your cruise is going to be affected by a hurricane, it's good to have RC putting out some guidance on what could happen with your cruise. It doesn't take a meteorologist to do that, but there are plenty of people paranoid about cruise ship weather.
  8. There are hairdryers, usually in one of the drawers. However they aren't the most powerful models.
  9. Agreed. They're paying big bucks for tailored forecasts specific to their industries.
  10. There are plenty of weather outsourcing companies that they'll use and probably every other cruise line already uses.
  11. Weather for an airline is a much different beast than weather for a cruise ship. It makes much more sense for an airline to have in house mets than a cruise line.
  12. JVF's value was as the face of cruise weather. All they need is someone else to create that slide deck during storm season.
  13. The only caveat for transfers is that your flight is after a certain time. But if you booked through Air2Sea they won't offer you a flight that's before that certain time. I don't know if they stagger the transfers.
  14. Checked luggage, but for no better reason than convenience.
  15. There are nights that are designated as the nights to dress up if you're so inclined.
  16. The timing would be right for a drydock since that last happened early 2019.
  17. 1) Not if it's a screw cap (hah!) but many people do take a travel corkscrew with them 2) Any of those 3) Yes, no issues with the new menus 4) They'll be pre-loaded onto your card and a list describing them in your stateroom when you board.
  18. Good thing Labadee is only part of Haiti due to geography then.
  19. When our son was young, he would only drink milk on a ship along with other dairy like yogurt. Wouldn't eat anything else (as hard as we tried, and as hard as the crew tried). But we still ate in the MDR and it wasn't a big deal. I wouldn't let your son's penchant for milk stop you from at least trying the MDR.
  20. There should be zero concern and there won't be any hassle.
  21. No worse than people who have checked in but walk up to the counter without any of their documents out and are fumbling through their bags to find them.
