  1. It's a basic, bare boned messaging app with a feel of your everyday text message app. There are notifications but they rarely are sent.
  2. Ship is always the last thing I look at. Price and itinerary are my first two criteria. If it's an itinerary you like but isn't served by your preferred class of ships, then take a chance on it for the experience of those port stops.
  3. If you don't get it within 30 days be sure to call. They'll ask you to email a copy of the letter you received onboard. Then they'll issue the fcc on the spot, though it takes an hour or two to be used on a reservation
  4. I always assumed the stewards kept them for their own cabins
  5. Same. By mid-cruise we tend to have the cooler stocked for the rest of the trip
  6. If you have to evacuate on a formal night, is there a lifeboat dress code?
  7. I'd be more than happy if only the internet perk came over to non Royal Suite ships.
  8. Sometimes they have wings in the Windjammer. You can also order from room service.
  9. I just hope one doesn't find a missing driver's license baked inside.
  10. Only do a GTY if you truly do not care one bit about room location or potential obstructed views.
  11. Check all pockets in dirty laundry. Check anything you may have kept check-in paperwork in. Check all bags you had with you when you checked in. Check with anyone you were with when you checked in in case you unknowingly gave your ID to another person to hold.
  12. Ever since they did away with the windowless sardine can suite lounges, I've never seen a full lounge.
  13. I wonder what kind of agreements the cruise lines have with ports for something like this. A typical skipped port is for reasons typically out of anyone's control. But in this case it's a problem owned by the port.
  14. Vision has a one-off stop there in January, but no other RC ship goes there in the next year.
  15. 1/4" hail - pea sized 1" hail - quarter sized 1.75" hail - golf ball sized 25 foot hail - lifeboat sized
  16. That seems pretty bush league to penalize your biggest spenders if they want to change their cruise. Cancel sure, but change?
  17. They are if you book early. My 8-nighter GS for 3 on Adventure in June 2024 cost me $3200 total. Yet right now to book for 3 it'd cost over $10k
  18. Well sure. I'm just saying as suite prices go up (and will continue to on the new ships), that tiny deposit for a large purchase is more easily brushed off if you decide not to cruise.
  19. Everything service-related that you buy includes gratuities.
  20. The odds of booking a suite which costs enough for the 10% to kick in is a lot higher now, especially for the new ships. Book a 15k suite, but pay $500 deposit, forfeiting that $500 seems a drop in the bucket.
  21. There is no correct answer. Tip what you are comfortable with, whether it's $0 or $100
  22. Absolutely, since FCCs are at the individual level.
  23. 600 PInnacles? Gonna be a lot of old ladies and swelled egos. I kid! Sort of.
