but I can’t remember the last time a bartender asked to see a boarding pass when I went to a bar after boarding the ship (which is the first thing I do every cruise). All they ask for is my cabin number.

It's been hit or miss for us. Sometimes they want to scan a barcode, others, just ask for a room number.

Ships vary and so does their ability to handle gluten free.  Since Covid we had a horrible experience on the Adventure, except for our waitress at breakfast and one dinner in Giovanni's Table. The Windjammer had zero entrees or vegetables marked GF, only a couple of desserts.

On the Voyager, the Main Dining room was great, but our dinner at Giovanni's Table was a disaster.  Breakfast at Chops was just ok.  We had multiple waiters in Chops at breakfast and they never remembered from day to day that we were gluten free and were always pushing the pastries.  For lunch in the Windjammer we stuck with salad every day.

I've been on Adventure a few times. No issues in the MDR, WJ or Chops breakfast.

It is not inconceivable that a person booked a 2 bedroom suite simply because that was all that was available at the time they made their booking?

Since the 2 BR suites are limited and in high demand, that's unlikely.

This is merely just the algorithm giving options to bid on what's technically a higher category of cabin, regardless of the practicality of it.

This is the true "life pro tip" that I also discovered on my last cruise. Arrive around 1pm and walk straight through onboard to your room without stopping once you hit the port. Hassle and crowd free to boot.

If I was driving to the port, I'd do this.

But for those of us flying in, better to be on the ship first thing than mill around at the hotel.

Way to far in advance for Oasis 7.  It will be for Icon 3.  Name ties in nicely with Icon and Star.

They already assigned ship code "LE" to Oasis 7. They assigned "TR" to Icon 3.

When you log into your account, all the ship info (for the entire RC Group) is loaded in the background.

Oasis 7 was there many months before they announced it, too.

Also, the ship code for Star, "ST", was there long before they announced that name.
