Everyone boarding that ship yesterday didn't expect to get off the ship until the first port of call. So not being able to get off while stuck in Vancouver shouldn't be a big deal.

So no one is allowed off the ship until the next port stop. Isn't that kind of...normal?

Reusing Legend as the final Oasis ship would actually be quite symbolic. The last in the class that redefined what cruise ship design is all about.

Should or shouldn't is up to the individual. But you're under no obligation to.

I'd be shocked if there were any true upgrades.  Just the typical paint/carpet/furniture stuff.

I had a price drop last week. First price drop I've had on a cruise in 2 years.

Well, you would have been on board for an hour now, finding out that you're staying in Vancouver for the next two days, but have a free drink package until then. Plus the usual refund/FCC stuff.

Sailing at 107% capacity (which means well above that on the meaty Caribbean routes), no need to offer all inclusive packages.

The 35 foot channel is now open and the stranded ships are lining up to get out. The first one is about to pass through the salvage site.

Legend will be the next Oasis ship name.

The next Icon will be Intrigue or some other name with a "TR" in it.

There are always posts about anything older than Oasis class ships being rust buckets.

It'd be kind of cool to stay on a ship during drydock

Since you don't pay the service charge(though, keep an eye out, sometimes you get charged anyway), there will be no auto gratuity added.

They were planning on removing 178 containers. I don't know how many they ended up removing, but they haven't removed any for a couple days, so I don't know if they removed all 178 or just removed enough to give space for debris removal.

Masking ended what, nearly 2.5 years ago.

They do it at Port Everglades. But I don't think they do it out of Miami.

Has anyone ever booked an Air2Sea rate that was more expensive than a direct booking price would cost (and this is comparing economy vs economy), then successfully used the best fare guarantee?

This new channel is only open long enough to get ships OUT of Baltimore. Then it will be closed again until they can open the entire channel a month later.
