  1. I didn't sense any decline with the new menus. But certainly RC wants you in and out faster so you can enjoy activities on board where no one cares about what you wear.
  2. Passport/birth certificate and a credit card. Then a picture/ability to take a picture if you want to take care of that prior to getting to the pier.
  3. We started cruising on Explorer. My son turned 3 on the cruise. Now he's D+ on his own points at age 11.
  4. I didn't notice any when I was on her in March, but I was near the front (not the bad part of the front fortunately).
  5. Just not in the front of the dining room. Way too much foot traffic.
  6. Of all the threads that see their lives cut short, this one seems to be immortal.
  7. With that being a new homeport + foreign country airport security/customs, I'm curious how early is too early for a flight. I'm on that same route 2 weeks prior and have a 12:30pm flight available for a lot cheaper, but worry that would really be rushing things.
  8. If you really wanted to do a Panama City tour, I'd do the post-cruise tour on the back end.
  9. Every ship does. Though on the smaller ships with only a half court, it feels like it's all pickleball, all the time.
  10. The only real tip to give is the same one you're used to at home: the kid will dictate your schedule more than you'd probably want. That's not a bad thing, just something to keep in mind.
  11. RC dining is not an event. It's a meal. And with part of the motivation for the new menus being to make meal time shorter, that proves as much. Wear what you want to wear and just don't look at other people if a certain attire bothers you that much. If you want a truly formal cruise line, those exist.
  12. The menus are as gluten-free friendly as the old menus were. That process hasn't changed.
  13. Any friend with a skid steer is a very valuable friend to have.
  14. I mean I'd let someone park their backhoe in my yard if I was allowed to use it, too.
  15. I was in the opposite situation once. The decaf screen was up, and I was quite puzzled. There was a crew member in there setting up for the morning and saw my confusion and taught me how to push a button. I felt educated that morning.
  16. Because it's not the 1970s Love Boat era anymore and what you wear doesn't impact how your food tastes.
  17. I'm on Adventure next month and look forward to it. Too many people cruise on older ships thinking they'll be brand new, then act surprised when those ships show signs of age from being used 24/7 for the last 20+ years.
  18. RC needs to totally rebrand formal night. Turn it into formal photo night instead. I would imagine most people who dress formally are getting photos, too, so why not just focus on that?
  19. Basic questions that have to be asked. Are you sure you booked a suite guarantee?
