This is kind of what I figured....I've been researching this port and just haven't really found anything that jumps out at me. I'm sure we will just walk around the port area for a bit and then head back to the ship. I appreciate your response.
Yea that banana liquor would turn me off too--yuck. I've read the description of the dirty banana on their drinks menu and it says "fresh banana" yay!
I will say that sparking mint lemonade sounds awfully good too 🙂 Was that on Princess? My embarkation drink list keeps growing 🥳
We have a cruise next month that stops in Ensenada and I'm at a loss of what to do here. Is it like the caribbean ports where you have vendors selling tours when you walk off the ship? Is there much to do in the port area? TIA
This is definitely on my embarkation list. I keep hearing all about the dirty banana but I am a margarita girl for sure 🍹. Decisions, decisions what to have first?
Food in the International Cafe is free but the coffee is not unless you have Princess Plus or Princess Premier package.
Self serve laundry has a cost. My understanding is the only time you don't have to pay for laundry is during the ships inaugural year (currently people are reporting having free laundry on the Discovery.)
I am by no means a high roller and have only been on one Princess cruise back in 2016, but I still can book under the casino rates that seem to be the same rates that others post on here. Getting ready to take my 2nd Princess cruise on the Discovery next month where I was able to get a mini-suite for $599 cruise fare using casino rate.
Ahhhh I should have read the WHOLE sentence....I got as far as non refundable and then stopped. That does explain what I saw as far as OBC once I clicked on the View applied promos link. Thanks for clarifying that for me.
So I had to login to see that price. I decided to do a mock booking just to see what the final price would be. I knew I would have to pay the port and tax fees, but what is the Comp Cabin Deposit? I understand deposits, but this one is different and one I've never seen before.
@deultgen, @titanguru, and @disneyochem I was wondering if any of you had copies of the patters? If so, could you please post? Just curious to see what I have to look forward to next month 🙂. Thank you all for posting your experience on the ship--it's nice to hear different perspectives.
My CVP assured me that I could use the Excursion Credit as regular OBC for my cruise next month. As a matter of fact, when I look at my travel summary it’s showing as OBC and does not say excursion credit—says onboard credit promotion.
@8 Westies Mom I did a Hawaii cruise back in 2015. I found it very easy to rent a car and do my own tour. Car rental (at the time) was pretty cheap through Discount Hawaii Car Rental. They have a great policy where you don’t pay for the rental until you pick it up so if your ship misses a port, you wouldn’t be charged. I did a lot of research and made a plan for each port (and and a backup plan because “stuff” happens.) I highly recommend you skip Waikiki/Honolulu and drive to other areas on Oahu (we had a nice easy hike to Moana Falls).
I was on Celebrity in October and saw many women in stretch pants. I can't imagine this being a problem and plan to wear them on my Princess cruise in March.
