So why do other cruise lines have different guide lines?

You do wonder at the P&O masking policy. Covid is here to stay, and obviously cases will be found on cruise ships. Other cruise lines do not feel the need to go through the rigmarole of mask wearing - why does P&O?

Certainly you can. However, the Brits will dress up for formal nights, and you may feel out of place in jeans on those evenings in the MDR.

No need to select an arrival time either, when departing from Southampton. No one checks.

I wouldn't worry. The check in staff at Southampton don't need the QR code - all you need is your passport. When we boarded a couple of weeks ago, I asked about the code, and the check in lady said it was quicker for her to use the passport than the code !

You can use shareholder obc with all the things you mention. It cannot be used with special fares such as those given to travel agents, employees etc. -
The only limit is for alcoholic drinks - 15. All other drinks in the package are unlimited.

As long as you are ordering one of the generic wines offered in the Plus package, our experience was that the drink service was quite speedy. The wines are kept at various serving stations in the MDRs, so no need for the drinks to be delivered from the adjoining bar.

Really pleased you found this area, as it is off the tourist track. It reminds us of how Spain was fifty years ago - lots of independent restaurants, local ingredients, etc. We walked there from the port a couple of weeks ago, and it hadn't changed from when we were there 25 years ago. -
We enjoyed CC dining. But, for the extra cost, we wouldn't do it again. Eat in the speciality restaurants, or have the CG steak in the MDR, and you will have a great time. OK, you may wait 20 minutes for a table, but is that wait worth $100 ?

I think you'll find that the timings will alter depending on the actual ship departure times. No point offering a tour that returns an hour after the ship has left !

There was a beer glass with a few dollar bills in it on the bar by the Retreat Pool on Sky a couple of weeks ago. As a regular customer, I never noticed anyone ever feeling the need to make a contribution ! And, if anything, the unsubtle nature of the "hint" probably dissuaded most people anyway.

No, the Medallion takes the place of your cruise card. You do not need your wife's medallion to order two drinks. You do not need your phone with you. Yes, it is waterproof.

They are merely doing their job, in the same way the staff in the buffet are doing their job clearing tables. No need to tip either.
