  1. No, because you connect to the ship's intranet system.
  2. Can't see it ever returning. But, if they could tweak the app to more easily allow you to select the same table every night, that would help. Personally we do not want to be tied down to a specific dining time, so are more than happy with the current arrangements.
  3. Not that unusual on certain itineraries. Makes it easier for Border Control staff to check documentation.
  4. They have had numerous TV campaigns over the years. Do you not remember the campaign with Rob Bryden ?
  5. Thanks. Had a look at superior deluxe availability on that cruise. A handful available midships and mid forward, but no availability at all mid aft or aft, whuch is our preferred location.
  6. If you arrive an hour or so early, I doubt you will have a problem.
  7. We have cancelled our Baltic cruise, (switched to Princess)and consequently have to transfer our deposit to another cruise. Although we are not keen on 7 day cruises, too much faff and driving, we thought we might try 7 days in the Fjords on Britannia in 2024. Did a few dummy bookings, but cabin availability was terrible. Virtually every balcony cabin, on multiple dates, was unavailable. I cannot believe that P&O have sold out virtually all balcony cabins this far out. I'll chat to our well known TA in due course, but in the interim, does anyone have any insights as to this strange state of affairs ?
  8. Thank you - for some reason some people do not understand the rules.
  9. Imho, not clear, as you cannot see down to the sea below your balcony.
  10. The rules are very clear. Yes, the airlines may try and fob you off, but late is late ! Why you are late is the important issue. I once flew from LHR to Toronto, and due to a medical diversion to Shannon, and fog in Toronto, which required an unscheduled overnight stay in Quebec, I arrived 24 hours late, but obviously compensation would not have been applicable in that case.
  11. I think that on longer cruises, the two formal nights per week rule is relaxed, because the "special nature " of the event becomes boring.
  12. Good point. Graham obviously enjoys good food, but taken the extra cost of eating in a speciality restaurant every night, why not just book a ciuise on Azmara on Oceania where the food is so much better. I presume it is because of limited options from Southampton.
  13. Four, not on first or last nights, and normally on sea days. Hope that helps, even if it is not precise.
  14. The wait staff should have decrumbed the table! But, overall, looks like an excellent meal. Happy cruising in 2023 ! (And don't forget the factor 50 !)
  15. I refer my learned friend to the post below.
  16. That's not what you said earlier, when you talked about getting pax onto the aircraft asap.
  17. If I was offered that on shore, I would send it back. On board, not too bad, but hardly inspiring for a speciality restaurant. Was the insect on the bottom of the picture coming or going ?
  18. Use this link. Yes, the reason for the delay is important, but the arrival time is key. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/holiday-cancellations-and-compensation/if-your-flights-delayed-or-cancelled/
  19. Compensation is paid if the flight arrives late. Everything else is immaterial.
  20. That is completely wrong. All that counts is when you actually get off the aircraft compared to the scheduled arrival time.
