A decent glass of wine in Vines costs about $12, so £10. Add on the 18% service charge, and you are looking at £11.80. I accept that some of the generic merlots etc are only around $10, but the quality is awful, so I would go to Vines for the better choice.
Drink prices will be increasing next year, which is why the price ceiling on the Plus Package has risen to $15.
To be fair, the various costs are clearly shown during the booking process - standard, Princess Plus, and Princess Premium.
Given that a glass of wine costs £12 on Princess, if you like a drink, buying the Princess Plus package is a no brainer !
The increase took place in the middle of December.
Don't forget the £50 pppd incudes the autogratuitues of around £14 pppd, and unlimited wifi.
The choice of drinks available in the package is far superior to P&O.
Compared to the P&O drinks package, the Princess package is far better value for money.
That would suit us as well. It is important that the wine is not rushed !
90 minutes = 4 glasses of wine! Not worried about how long the food takes to arrive.
I guess the big issue is if the incoming flight is late.
If you are on the tour, you get to the airport, and may have to wait for a long time in the terminal.
If you are on the ship, you can use the buffet, sit on deck etc, until the aircraft arrival time is confirmed.
What happens, for example, if the incoming aircraft is 10 hours late. Do you stay in the airport for all that time?
