  1. The UK faq reflects this as well. My reading is that if you do not upgrade, you will get drinks up to $15 each, but you will miss out on desserts and fitness classes. I've already purchased Princess Plus or Princess Premier with my cruise fare. What is changing and do I need to update my booking? We’re adding some great features to both! Princess Plus with now include premium desserts & fitness classes, while Princess Premier will offer all these as well as reserved theatre seating and a Medallion accessory. But you can keep your original package at its original price if you prefer; you just won’t enjoy these new components.
  2. I can't see any Canary cruises on any ship in the April - June period 2024.
  3. Out of interest has any one flown to Barbados on the P&O charter flight in November or December. If so, what was the departure time ? Thanks.
  4. But customer services can locate it for you, therefore it will be found !
  5. Strangely enough, after three or four weeks we are normally ready to come home. Have "done" winters away from the UK during our time living in Spain, which might explain our reaction. The other issue of course, is that if you are a Brit, when you return from your three months away, anywhere in Europe is off limits to you for the next six months.
  6. No one needs to know that, so no one is going to track that sort of information. Out of interest, does your car have GPS (sat nav)? Do you disable it every time you drive ?
  7. Hi Purdey - yes, we were both away at roughly the same time. Got back yesterday evening after three weeks away.
  8. Thanks Graham - hope your operation went OK. And, from now on, Factor 50 on your face every day, before you go out !
  9. To be fair, back in the 70s I had a pair of platform shoes. Made me about 6'3" high. Goodness knows how I managed to drive my company Cortina!
  10. I need some commission ! I knew I should have trade marked my nom de plume !
  11. Are my ears burning ? Just come back from holiday in both senses of the word ! Nice of everyone ( well some, anyway !) to worry about me, but obviously I could not respond. And thanks Avril, my Mum is fine, although not keen on the current weather, as it curtails her socialising ! In the real world, we have just returned from three warm sunny weeks (well, a couple of showers) in lovely Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. Enjoyed lots of the three "esses" - sun, sea and that thing that us old un's are never meant to admit to enjoying, but when you have had a glass or two of wine for lunch, and your inhibitions have gone, why not indulge in that secret pleasure - siesta ! Speak more in due course.
  12. Not sure about being invented in pubs, but certainly not an authentic Indian dish.
  13. I must admit, I was too nervous to watch every ball. But the scooped six was fantastic ! Can you imagine a certain Mr Boycott attempting one of those shots !
  14. Hank - you are a mine of information, but a few paragraphs would help !
  15. Probably the most common Indian meal in the UK ! And available as a ready meal, or as a cook in sauce everywhere. I imagine the chefs on board just use a prepared sauce ( like we do!)
  16. Unless you ask for it, no one will sing anything. Personally, I find it a bit naff. And, no, if for whatever reason they do sing, when you come out from under the table, you do not need to tip.
  17. As a Brit, I can pre-purchase obc at an advantageous fx rate. My understanding is that if I do not use this obc, it will be refunded. Can anyone please explain how the refund will be paid. We are on a Southampton round trip, and obviously do not want a refund in the form of a USD cheque. Thanks for any help and advice.
  18. Our UK insurance provider offers two levels of cover. The "basic" cover for medical costs and repatriation, has a £5million maximum. The premium cover, has no limit for medical or repatriation costs. There is a minimal "excess" of £100. All very straightforward, so no need to worry about levels of cover when travelling. DW and I have an annual policy, that costs in the region of £450 (say $500), although that figure would incresse by about 50% if travelling outside of Europe.
  19. Out of interest, what time did you arrive at the MDR ? We wouldn't think of getting to the MDR any earlier than 19:30.
  20. You waited at least an hour longer than I would have done ! I assume you must have complained at least four or five times during your wait - what was the excuse?
  21. Wasn't there a similar discussion recently, when many Floridians responded by saying that early diners are in the minority ?
