  1. We did a cruise first land tour covering dates in late June/early July and there was no testing required before the land portion.
  2. Yes, I think so. Weird that is what would come up when selecting 'sample menu' from the dinner booking site on the cruise planner online but no matter. I appreciate all the help finding the full menu. I'm already drooling and my cruise is not for months. LOL!
  3. Thank you! I am booked so it was easy to find. Sounds completely awesome and I am much looking forward to it now. For some reason, I thought it would be too soon to view the menu's on the app - must have been thinking of Princess.
  4. I was wondering if anyone who had recently sailed on the Odyssey would be able to let me know what types of dishes were available in Giovanni's Kitchen? I downloaded the sample menu off of the Royal Caribbean website for the restaurant and it only shows appetizers and a few pizza's. That doesn't sound quite right. At least, I hope not. 🙂
  5. Honestly, I don't think that there are so many posts reflecting frustration with using the medallion unless they are blending it together with the app. Almost all the complaining I read about concerns the medallion app features and has nothing to do with using the medallion at all which is just a glorified version of the cruise card. Which I actually really LOVE, but I also love the Disney magic bands which are the same thing so I guess I was predisposed to happily have my little tracker open doors and pay for things without my having to do anything more than just stand there. LOL!
  6. Hi! Yes, if your cruise terminates in Vancouver you would need to complete the ArriveCan app within 72 hours of boarding the ship. This will satisfy the entry into Canada requirement. 🙂
  7. Then I still don't know what to put for the cruise. Oh, well. All of our traveller's information is already saved in the app so if worse comes to worst I’ll be that annoying person figuring it out at the port. 😆
  8. A week later after a land tour, but I thought that I'd need to submit that trip separately as an entering Canada by air submission within 3 days of flying home. No?
  9. As I've mentioned in another thread I usually have no problem filling out and submitting the ArriveCan. I'm Canadian and have done it quite a few times. But I absolutely cannot figure out what they want for my northbound cruise to Whittier when I am not going to be re-entering Canada at all after embarkation. Anyone know? I hate feeling this stupid. Sigh.
  10. I think that's a little harsh. I'm Canadian and have used the ArriveCan app many times but I completely understand the frustration and confusion surrounding having to submit multiple trips like this. Heck, as familiar as I am with the app I am still stumped on how to complete the Northbound cruise to Alaska when there is no marine entry into Canada. I'm flying back from Alaska a week after our cruise and am fine with how to submit that trip three days before arrival home but honestly don't understand how to fill out the cruise departure trip.
  11. Yeah, from what I can tell you're fine. The tracking information indicates that it left the UPS distribution centre in Spokane yesterday and is now currently on its way to you. 🙂
  12. Ugh. None of the nights have tables for 2 in any of the dining rooms? That seems really odd - could be a glitch, perhaps? As annoying as it sounds, might be worth a phone call.
  13. After you log in, hit the little fork and spoon icon near the top of the page. Then click on "view or book individual daily reservations". It should be there. Good luck. 🙂
  14. Hi wallyj. I think the confusion is arising because you wrote Grand instead of Crown in your post when talking about the Crown's schedule. Are you able to edit it?
  15. Hee! Hopefully, they will scrounge up a place for us to stay before the trip. My roughing it days are far behind me. 🙂
  16. We just received an email detailing all of our hotels but the Fairbanks nights simply say Fairbanks Accommodations and list a Seattle address. So we still don't know where we are staying. I suppose anywhere is fine (and the Westmark looks great) but in my head I guess I just feel that we paid for the ''Princess Lodges'' and that should be Riverside. LOL!
  17. I'm not sure who to ask, but I was wondering if anyone with the land portion after the cruise has gotten the same notification? We cruise to Alaska from Vancouver on June 22 and have not received anything so I'm not sure if the new rules will also apply to post-cruise land tours? Man, I was so sure that we had everything figured out already. Oh, well. I suppose if it's required they will take care of the testing between the cruise and land tour.
  18. Thanks for the information Hapster. I'm not sure who to ask, but I was wondering if anyone with the land portion after the cruise has gotten the same notification. We cruise to Alaska from Vancouver on June 22 and have not received anything so I'm not sure if the new rules will also apply to post-cruise land tours. Man, I was so sure that we had everything figured out already. Oh, well. I suppose if it's required they will take care of the testing between the cruise and land tour.
  19. I agree with everyone else who has posted saying that is nonsense. That is one very confused agent.
  20. No, I'm afraid not. It was Freedom of the Seas - cabin 1810, if that helps.
  21. I think that you're going to love the cabin. We stayed in one for the second week of a back-to-back (had a balcony for the first week) and the open feeling of the room and all the glass was amazing. I love my balconies but didn't miss it a bit during the week. 🙂
