  1. Really??? Honestly, obvious jokes are not that hard to read even typed online. I laughed out loud at it. 🙂
  2. Yeah, which means that it's quite likely they were tough and woody. That entire meal looks very underwhelming to me.
  3. Yeah, probably only policies that include cancel for any reason coverage.
  4. Do you have access to some home test kits? Since the tests no longer have to be proctored it would easiest to just take antigen tests with you and test yourself at your hotel room.
  5. Your TA can send a copy of ìt to you. Just ask them for the Royal Caribbean booking invoice.
  6. My understanding is that they meant they will wear a seatbelt for protection while driving, but will not also wear a helmet. And they will be vaccinated for protection, but will not also wear a mask on top of that.
  7. Well, how dare that server be polite! The nerve! 🙂 I'm seriously behind, but really enjoying your review. Bringing back great memories of our Hawaii cruise.
  8. As of now you no longer need a supervised test for Europe to US TA's. This is a very recent change. Here is the wording from the website: Required testing can be completed using any type of PCR or antigen COVID-19 test. It can be professionally proctored at your doctor or drugstore, or it can be a test you administer to yourself at home without supervision.
  9. Ah, okay. The OP was referring to a Transatlantic sailing so those were the protocols I was focusing on. and didn't take into account Transpacific differences.
  10. Exactly, and that’s the updated protocols in the email being sent out. As previously mentioned, the vaccination requirements have not changed as far as I can tell. I am booked on a Transatlantic and being fully vaccinated has always been a requirement for my sailing. I think the OP may be mistaken about what the vaccine requirements were when it was booked. The protocols are less stringent now, not more. Yay!
  11. We were on the Radiance in October and we noticed the same 15 minutes time-line so did not book in advance. They clarified for us onboard at the spa that it was not limited to 15 minutes. We ended up not booking so I can't comment on the facilities itself.
  12. Sure it is. She was simply pointing out that they weren't newbie travellers. Almost 2 cruises a year for a decade is quite a lot, IMO.
  13. Yes, at this time they still require a 'supervised' test. Here is the information from the most recent protocols update: For Transatlantic Cruises All guests age 5 and older must bring a negative test result for a COVID-19 test taken within 2 days before boarding day. The test you take must be supervised by a health professional, such as a doctor, pharmacy technician, public health worker, or telehealth professional. Telehealth testing at home is accepted for vaccinated guests, and must be conducted under live video supervision. Tests must be arranged on your own and are at your own expense. Guests age 4 and younger do not have any testing requirements. Please note: A guest is considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the required number of doses in their vaccine series have been fully administered (e.g. 2 shots of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, etc., or 1 shot of Johnson & Johnson). Vaccines must be approved for use by the World Health Organization (WHO), with the exception of CanSino.
  14. Sometimes in the MDR they'll just ask for your room number and inputting mistakes can happen. The drink was probably ordered by some other random person and put on the wrong account in error.
  15. I may be wrong, but from what I understood from the OP was that they are going to cancel, book the cruise themselves through Princess at the lower price that Princess will not give the TA, and then transfer the booking back to the TA. I don't think that they are intending to take the booking away from the TA.
  16. I don't have any Carnival experience post-covid yet but I know that on my cruises the pizza was open very late if that's at all helpful.
  17. Just guessing, but I think its unlikely that it would count as a second entrée. It doesn't in a land restaurant that charges you for every entrée so I don't see it happening here. I think Carnival is being upfront that they are trying to maximize their bottom line by trying to cut waste in a way that won’t affect many passengers. And also, as some have mentioned, limit the amount of 6 entrée orders on lobster nights. 🦞
  18. I have no issues with any of these changes. From what I can tell, the only increase or cut back (ice-cream hours, etc.) that isn't already pretty standard on Princess is the charge for the third or more main entrées in the dining room, which I think is quite fair. Especially as it would appear you can still order as many apps and desserts as you wish.
  19. It was on the departure notice for our Vancouver to LA cruise last week, but it was on the back side and near the bottom. Unless you were reading every word, it would be super easy to miss. We had bought some items in San Diego and wanted to refresh my memory on the duty free limits, so I was specifically looking.
  20. It wasn't available on Radiance last week. It was my first time on anything other than Freedom and just thought it was probably normal for this class. If they've taken it away when it used to be available, I agree that's really odd.
  21. I think it does if they want to save all of their vouchers for alcoholic drinks and not have them used for the non-alcoholic drinks that would be covered by the refreshment package, wouldn't it?
  22. Mine too! We sail in 12 days and they are finally working today for the first time. So glad that they seem to have resolved the issue. 🙂
