Good morning fellow cruisers! DH & I were on the Celebration in January & loved the beignets from Emeril’s. We’re going on the Mardi Gras in July & looked at the menu for Emeril’s & don’t see the beignets! Has anyone been on the Mardi Gras recently & can confirm? We were really looking forward to getting those again! Seems odd to not have them in the Mardi Gras considering it’s all about New Orleans.
TIA!
Just off MG and they were wonderful

Looking into some Alaska cruises. I'm very hesitant to look at Carnival for several reasons, the main being the crazy stuff I've seen on line. I know that those incidents are few (maybe) and far between. I'm also hopeful that they are contained to the shorter Caribbean cruises. Anyone taken a Carnival ship to Alaska? We're considering a 7 day trip. I'm hoping that it would be "smooth sailing"
We have been three times including last June and about to take our 4th next year a two week on the Spirit and have never had a problem. The cruise is laid back and a lot of jeans and sweatshirts. But we have been on more that 40 Carnival cruises and never seen any of the issues you are worried about.

When we were on our last Carnival cruise a couple of weeks ago, the ship waited an hour past debark time for two people. I know because I was sitting on my balcony during the time. I was actually surprised the ship was waiting because I always hear about pier runners and have heard stories about people being left. We were in Cozumel in this instance. It seems like if the two people were on a Carnival excursion, there would have been more than two late people... It made me wonder if some of these stories were cruise line folklore. Admittedly, I have never actually known anyone who was left.
Then, I saw on another cruise line's board that a ship had waited 2.5 hours past sail time for a passenger. The suggestion was made when someone asked the question of "Why didn't the ship just leave?" that the ship could not leave because the port the country was in (in that case, St. Maarten) had a law that a ship could not leave a passenger in that country unless the person's passport was left with port officials. Thus, the ship waited until they found the person.
Anyone know?
I actually know of a couple being left in St Maarten and a family being left in Nassau on Christmas Eve (they were trying to wave the ship down as it was pulling away)

We are on her the following Saturday and ours does not say anything either, we have done 8 cruises since the restart and have always had access to drop and go. However sometimes our room was done and sometimes not. But we still placed our luggage in the closet and never had a problem.

Isn't check in 12:00am the day of your check in? I know I wait till midnight of the day before check in and then as soon as it hits 12:00am for check in, I'm checking in.
In the check in process, keep clicking on "do later" or something like that, like putting in your passport info. You can get your check in time then go back and fill in the info.
Hope that helps!
Yes and You don't have to go thru all of that, the list comes up and has "Guest Selection, Guest Information, Travel Documents , Travel Plans and next is Arrival Appointment, you only have to click on Arrival Appointment choose you time and save then complete everything later

Midnight EST is correct however you can go right to arrival appointment choose your time and remember to click the save button and then you can choose to leave and complete all other information needed later. Just don't forget to choose the save button

I have been getting emails for years now (literally) with offers for "free rooms" (just port fees and taxes)...well, I have never really looked at any because always thought they were not "free". But for kicks and giggles yesterday I went on to my account and clicked the email and off to the Carnival site. I just put in the info just to see if it really was "free". Well, to my surprise I was able to get a Aft Balcony for "free"...just had to pay the port and taxes, plus I added the gratuities. I still think it's too good to be true. I even called to pay for it versus the website to ensure it was! 🙂 Anyone else ever gotten this??? I do spend a lot of time in the casino on the ship and here at home 🙂

Before I start this, I will ask that everyone be nice and respectful as everyone's experiences are different.
I am a POS (Person of Size). I cruised on the Celebration in January. We had a Cove Balcony booked and were very excited about this trip. The cabins are beautiful. I love the color scheme and the layout. The cabins are small, narrower than older ships, but we handled that. What we had a problem with was the bathroom in our cabin. I loved the new shower, but holy cow that bathroom is small. It's narrow and short, if that makes sense, and I could sit on the toilet and wash my hands in the sink at the same time. One time, I bumped my head on the shower when I was trying to get jammies on. It's entirely too small for adults who may carry some extra weight.
I am booked on the Jubilee out of Galveston next January, which is a sister ship to the Celebration. I ended up cancelling and rebooked the cruise so we could sail in an Ocean Suite instead of a Cove balcony so we could have a bigger bathroom.
Just thought I would share my experience. I did truly love the ship and all she has to offer.
My husband and I completely agree and it was three days into the cruise before I realized that I was using kleenex instead of toilet paper. Apparently I wasn't the only one because with the Celebration they changed the configuration.

Weird, I would think that is something that would be programmed into the Point of Sale system and would be automatically applied.
Agree but no such luck

As was pointed out above if a drink is over the $20 limit you only get a 25% discount. Sometimes the fine print sucks.
Didn't get a 25% discount either even after discussion

April 2024 is my ABC on Horizon.
I haven’t seriously looked into what to do. I do have notes I do sometimes years in advance. Checking that I have notes from May of 2020. Pandemic planning I guess. I don’t have anything started for curaçao. For Aruba I have flamingo beach and I guess a couple of excursions I was interested in. Top 10 of Aruba and best of Aruba. For Bonaire I have pink flamingos and salt flats.
Highly recommend Trikes Aruba we had a blast and have done it several times and still gave us plenty of time to go to the beach and Bugaloo's and then taxi back to ship

I think the rule is only $20 is covered under Cheers and you pay what is over that. If that is the case I will enjoy a glass of Bacardi Gran Reserva Limitada on the rocks at least once.
Actually they did not do this on several of our last cruises, as my husband drinks Flora De Cana 25yr, he had to pay for it and they would not do as you stated which what we also thought would be done and just pay for the difference between Cheers

Not wanting to highjack this thread but...what drinks are 20$. Just curious. I'm a Chardonnay drinker. Never come close to 20$. Again, just curious because Cheers works for us regardless.
Flora de Cana 25yr old rum over $20

With "anytime dining", if you want to dine with another couple booked separately but also with "anytime dining", can you do that on the app?
We had similar circumstances and found that with all 4 of us having bought Chat on the internet plan that we could choose all 4 of us to book a table

I had the bus transportation booked and paid for for after my cruise is over.
I think I canceled it Friday but never received anything from Carnival.
it is no longer showing up when it shows me what ive purchased for the cruise such as specialty dinners, etc.
how will they refund it, to the card i purchased it with or obc?
TIA
I know that with other excursions I cancelled or Carnival cancelled, I did get a standard cancellation email. It does not say what the excursion was that was cancelled however when I went to my booking I did see that it had been removed. It took approximately two weeks (on some it was quicker) to show that I had been refunded on the credit card that I used. If you used OBC to make the purchase it will go back to the OBC.

Great complete answer however we saw something for the first time cruising and we are at 40+ cruises. When getting priority disembarkation last Saturday from the MG, those with Birth Certificates had to go in one line for immigration and there were only two people checking so the wait was quite something. Those with Passports went in a different line did not have to show their Passports and only did facial recognition and there were 12 stations set and it went extremely quickly
