Seconded!
Its the one thing that stops us booking Eclipse again, we go on a cruise for rest and relaxation, that awful music everywhere just spoils it.
I'm on the Eclipse now sailing home and we have managed to dodge the music, nothing too loud anywhere.
Only annoyance was a band in the Ensemble Lounge last night that were good but way too loud.
All the 'background' music is at a really low level, didn't notice it last cruise either.

Do it as you order the first drink, takes about 30 secs longer.
With reference to the original posters comment about wasting time, you are on holiday and have all the time in the world.
Relax and as people have said do it when you order your first drink. [emoji484]

We did it on this cruise while onboard, no time wasted as we did it when ordering drinks.

Are you sure there isn't a slight change, check the version number on the booking. There may be a slight change. 15 versions is our record!

Noise would be the biggest issue given your choice, we are on the hump in Aqua and have already booked our 3rd cruise in this room, despite the window washing equipment. We like the extra space on the balcony and very little noise from above as the Aquaspa cafe is above. Pros and cons for most rooms I guess.
I hope you find something suitable.

I have a feeling they are testing it, and it may be short lived. Enjoy while you can. How is BLU? We are in AQ on the Eclipse in January. How is the sommelier?
Marie
Blu is great again, the portion sizes seem to have increased. We have only all courses once and were stuffed!
The sommelier (Jason) was on our last cruise and has been with Celebrity for 6 years, this is his last cruise. He is great, very helpful.
We have eaten in specialty restaurants this time and loved Tuscan but were blown away by Murano. We eat in Qsine next week.

I am currently on the Eclipse.
Premium you can get 300ml, 500ml and 1000ml. - Evian
Non premium seems to be 500ml and 1000ml.

I'm now unsure how this will work. I always upgrade to the Premium package but hubby downgrades to the Premium non alcohol package since he is teetotal. So will they let us have an open mini bar?

When I asked we were told both people in the room had to have premium alcohol package.
We drank brandy last night, they've 'run out' today [emoji51]

We are on the Eclipse Med Cruise at the moment and have just checked and as long as both people in the room are on premium package the minibar is free and restocked once a day. There are a couple of 1/2 bottles of wine that are over $15 so we are avoiding those.

Currently on the Eclipse and Sushi on 5 seems to have launched tonight. We are at Bistro on 5 today and the staff weren't sure if they were changing from tonight.
Either a test or a full launch tonight, signs etc have been changed.

We take lockable type water bottles, however we only fill them in our rooms using bottled water. Great for when we go ashore.

I guess ships burning at sea does not bother you. It may be a long swim,
People are still allowed to smoke on board.
My USB charger is the least of my worries.

Anker products are great. Formed by some former Google employees I think.

Each passenger may also bring one 750ml bottle of wine (not any other alcoholic beverage) on board with them at embarkation...and enjoy it in their cabin. There would be a corkage fee ($25?) if you decide to bring that bottle to the MDR. That's only at embarkation...if you buy wine at a port, Celebrity will hold it for you until the end of the cruise.
(note...lots of posts on "what can you carry on board" or similar going into great detail....try a search).
I think it is 2 bottles per cabin, rather than 1 bottle per person.

I've decided to book a cruise on the Silhouette. It will be my first on Celebrity. I think I will be doing the 4 specialty restaurant package, and I have read that the reservations are all made on day 1.
Will we be able to see the weeks MDR menus to pick which ones to skip? Or can our specialty reservations be changed later on in the cruise? There are several menus we wouldn't eat a thing on, and a few we love.
Thanks in advance!
We have taken the package too, the only reservation we have made so far is to eat in our first restaurant on Day 2, we had the choice of day 1 or 2. Not sure when they will make us book the other days.

As already mentioned, best waiting for version 2 to be released. I've had version 1 since it was released, don't regret buying it but I would regret buying it now with a new model to be released within the the next few weeks.

Can you order whatever you want to try?

If you book directly Celebrity allow you to re-book if the cruise drops in price, in the UK, not sure about the US.
Unless you are paying up front I would consider booking in USD a big risk due to the fluctuating strength of the GBP due to Brexit and lots of other economic factors, definitely a gamble.

Thank you.

Does anyone know when the bars open on embarkation day?
-
Thank you LPCKG. I have contacted Celebrity and the onboard spend has been added to our trip. They say it is an error which has been reported to the IT department, but as loyal Celebrity cruisers they have honoured it. Suggest you ring them asap.
For our second cruise we waited and waited for them to get the OBC correct, we booked on board when the 123 offer was available, can't believe we finally cruise again this week and ended up on version 15 of our booking!
Glad you are sorted in the end.

I would agree...we should have $200 per balcony cabin for our trip. I am going to follow this up. I am wondering which trips do actually get any credit?
From what I can see there is a slider option at the top of the search to turn off filtering with or without offers.
Current offer seems to be up to $500 OBC for european cruises and up to $250 for others.
-
I've just checked and the offers based on booking from the .co.uk website are different from the .com
I would ring them to discuss, you should receive $250 OBC for that cruise.
-
We booked a Baltic cruise for next June and are UK based, we received $500 OBC for Aqua Class.
Are you basing this on what you were told or your initial booking breakdown/confirmation? Usually they are updated to show OBC etc later. We ended up on version 15 of our Med cruise which departs this Friday and are already on version 3 of our Baltic booking.
I am sure we booked the Baltic cruise on the same offer as you have that ends at the end of this month.
Free Mini Bar on Eclipse
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
We used the service and the novelty wore off after a couple of days. It was rarely fully restocked and some items were never replaced. Saved a trip to a bar but other than that it was a bit of a gimmick.
What they should do is lock all the mini bars on the last night after checking they are full so people can't empty them and they are ready for the next sailing.
No catering for idiots I guess, some people will steal anything.
