So has every cabin, meal, tour, ship, buffet, drink pkg, dining pkg, flight time, hotel, transportation, day before or morning of, smoking, chair hog, what to pack, bring on liquor, power cord, hangers in the closet, bring my own towel, shampoo, cotton balls, door decorations, a stickie for how to dress, so there is no reason for any new threads, right? :D:D
Actually it is quite a specific question and I remember reading posts recently with in depth comments about this. Personally I search first then ask a question if I can't find the answer, but everyone is different.
Only trying to be helpful, isn't sarcasm great.

This has been discussed at length in a couple of threads recently, search 'gluten' and you might be a little disappointed.

If you have a drinks package I don't see the merits in the bottle, we ended up taking ours home.
-
Unless you make a specific request for a beer or type of wine they will always bring you a drink that is available within your drinks package so no extra charge.
When I'm at the bar sometimes ask for the best gin (or whatever) I can have with that drinks package, just to try something different.

Just to add, although they had Aperol a couple of the bar staff didn't know how to make a Spritz.
-
One of my favourite cocktails for summer is aperol spritz. I've not seen this in any bar menus online but assumed I could ask the staff to make this if they have the ingredients...so does the reflection have aperol?
Can't comment on the Reflection but they had it on the Eclipse on our Norwegian cruise last year.

On the first cruise we ever took which was on Carnival, they ran out of bacon. On the same cruise, a chair broke with a passenger sitting on it.
Perhaps they were linked!

Were the $35 beers good?
-
I'm guessing I am in the minority, we booked the Eclipse last year based on the new enhanced beer menu. We ended up spending most of our time in the WCB, loved the cocktails having not previously been a cocktail drinker.
Can't wait to go back in 3 weeks time :)

You dont mention costs?
Cruise ships I've been on before gave a basic package for free and you paid for excess use. If its slow its often better to go in local coffee bar!
Its such a basic these days hotels generally don't charge, its like adding a charge to have our lights on!
We cruise next month, around £190 for 2 weeks (2 users as there was an offer on).
Our next cruise free wifi was thrown in as a perk for booking Aqua.

I believe you can order luggage tags 45 days before your cruise. Those are the quality luggage tags. Otherwise, just have your paperwork ready and show it to the porter at the dock. It is an easy process and the porters are very accommodating.
Only from outside the UK [emoji3]
We have to print our own off, changed since our cruise last year. Porters an option too.

Just be prepared for changeable weather. Won't hurt to add a few extra layers or a waterproof just in case.
Have a great trip.

Obviously they don't read this. Forum....if so and given all the whining that goes on here, X would rate extremely low[emoji12]
That's the nature of the Internet isn't it!
Look up any product and there are many more complaints than praise, shame really makes it harder to judge something. Buying any goods or services is becoming a minefield.

If you are in a speciality restaurant the fee includes the gratuity so thus is only an issue if you are in AQ and then use the MDR a number of times as your gratuities go to Blu. This was an issue before Luminae opened if you were in a suite. We always tried to eat in Blu before Luminae opened if we were in a suite and made sure, once we were happy that space in Blu was not an issue, that our gratuities were switched to where we were eating.
On our last trip we hardly ever sat in the same area, depends how busy it was. Rarely the same waiter, it felt more like they rotated where you sat to take it in turns to have a seat next to the window. Probably just coincidence as I'm sure they won't keep a record of where people sit.
We love Blu and we're happy enough to eat there for 2 weeks this time (our last trip was 8 days), we've heard so many good things about the other restaurants we've taken a dining package too this time. Change of scene too.

We have booked this cruise for June 17.
With regards clothing, I never felt under dressed last year with a pair of nice jeans and a shirt, a couple of nights I wore a sports jacket. Didn't ever feel out of place or uncomfortable as there was such a wide range of appearances.
Like your husband I have to wear a tie for work, I'm on holiday so prefer to dress down.

I am sailing on the Eclipse on 26 August and have noticed that this will be the last cruise that features Bistro on 5: does anyone know if it will be open for business as usual on this itinerary or if it will be closed while it is transformed into a sushi restaurant? I am hoping to enjoy lunch there when we embark, one last time!
Many thanks,
I think the last cruise with Bistro on 5 is the one on 3rd September, knowing how shop fitters work the refurbishment will be done in time ready for the next sailing.

Last year from the UK we were sent tags, as above the policy has changed and you now have to either print your own from your cruise docs or the porters will do it for you at the port.
Different outside the UK I think.

I'm in the UK and bought some of those plastic covers with the metal ties for the the labels. Easier than making your own from your cruise documents, didn't fancy using lots of tape and an attempt at origami. Cost about £8 for 8 and they seem decent, haven't travelled with them yet though!

What did you pay for the upgrade? If it wasn't the market rate for an AQ then you'll get points based upon your original booking.
Phil
We booked our cruise at the last moment and we only had the choice of an inside or suite as everything else had gone. Received a call shortly before cruising asking if we wanted to upgrade, saved about £400 each on what it would have cost originally for the cruise if booked straight into Aqua.

We upgraded from an inside to Aqua on our last cruise and only received the points for an inside.

Has anyone any experience of doing a tour with X where they provide a smart device so you can do things at your own pace?
I have fluctuating levels of ability with regards walking/standing and the thought of a tour where I cannot dictate my own pace puts me off.
This may be a good compromise in that transport is provided, not sure how much use the smart device might be!

It's just a way of showing that the offer you received when booking has been allocated to your account.
Cost added in and then a credit applied to show the balance for that item as nil.

Is there a way to find out how busy a ship was on a previous cruise and how busy it will be?
Trying to do a comparison between our last Eclipse cruise last May to the Norwegian Fjords and our next one to the Western Med in September.

How good is the air conditioning on the Eclipse, we sailed last May and it wasn't really needed.
We cruise the Med in September and prefer to be cooler generally, we don't dodge the sun but we aren't overly bothered by sitting out in it. Will the top deck be packed and the rest of the ship quieter during daylight?

Has anyone been turned away for turning up early at Southampton Docks?
in Celebrity Cruises

Not sure about being turned away but you may have a long wait.
Maybe you could divert to a nearby hotel and then get a cab on your allocated time, extra expense but at least you will comfortable and could have a drink/snack in the hotel bar.
