It depends who I'm cruising with.

If I'm with someone new to cruising or young, Oasis class.

All-around, Anthem is a solid choice.

Just me or with frequent cruisers who don't need the bells and whistles, Radiance class. The outside Windjammer is a huge plus for me.

I'm more focused on itinerary and price though.

    Love this ^^^^^^^^^

agree!  The old ladies are so nice, hard to get new cruisers excited unless it’s super port intensive

Heading to Alaska but kids are obsessed with Flowrider from previous WARM cruises… have any Alaska cruisers actually seen people using it? I peeked at the Daily Activities and it’s open… but geez it must be cold. Maybe a wetsuit? 🤷‍♀️

Yup, Alaska last August, friends kids 10 and 12 used it everyday, no wetsuits.  Temps were in the teens in Celsius

It seems that most of the posts about the quality of the food since the new menus seem to indicate that the quality has gone down, but of course that is subjective. Considering that I’m committed to an upcoming cruise and cancelling isn’t an option, I’m hoping that the food isn’t as bad as it seems. Anyone enjoying the new menu on the Oasis?

Got off Oasis, 2weeks agp, ate in the MDR every night except last one, food was as good as my previous October Odyssey sailing. The deal for us is is we both can’t see something we want we don’t go, hence the last night, wife didn’t see anything that she would want, I felt pretty similar.  Had salmon a couple of times, pasta(I don’t eat pasta at home).  Generally food was good, our service was not, so I can’t blame a lukewarm entree on the kitchen when we waited 20-30minutes for them sometimes.

I will be on the Oasis in July and have been to Nassau before but cannot recall if RCCL has any one to assist when get off the ship to take you to the place where you can get taxis. Does anyone know?

I have never been on a ship that docked in Cape Canaveral.   We intend to take the bus to Disney.   Will this be an issue for me getting to it?

     Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you.

If significant mobility issues would check curb free with Cory Lee, is a cruiser who does different cruise lines in awheel chair also may be good to ask on wheel the world FB group

You can order everything at once. In fact, the servers want you too, at least based on my experience on the Anthem.

Oasis at end of Feb, we wanted to try/share a 2nd entree and  they said sure but it’ll come out after your others. We said, what? Just bring it we want to try it, they again said no, the station manager came and explained that this is the norm, now, I questioned this, but also noted, this was my first cruise since the menu rolled out.   It came up again, when my wife requested the lobster tail with xx and was told again yup they will come out at separate times, after questioning it again, they brought it out together which was worse since we were told no,  this is the new policy and then they did it anyway

South Beach is much quieter, but that's because it is a bit of a distance. We thought we could walk but wound up hopping on the tram.

I think Breezy Bay at Chill Island is a great location, right by the pool and food stands and not too far from the pier.

Did walk it last time and we were late getting off(i guess?) S/beach was packed so , hiked back, got my steps in and sweat on which led to the water being even better when I finally found a spot at Chill

No, Royal has definitely had an across the board decline. Without a doubt.

Hmm I guess I haven’t seen it, 9night Odyssey in Oct was pretty much exactly like the last 4 years on any other ship, I’ll see what Oasis holds 8n a couple of weeks, loved Jewel the last time too, but that was afew years back

RC entertainment staff needs to realize not all 70's music was disco. 👎👎 There was a lot of other good music produced in the 70's.

Hmm, disagree that if you want a dance party with the 70s featured it is disco.  80s would be all the electro stuff, which was danceable.  I wasn’t dancing 8n the 90s so not sure what that would be.

Thanks for all the replies!  Sounds like 270, the solarium, and the outdoor seating at the Windjammer are consistent winners.  Can't wait to try them! (and Northstar, and iFly, and... 😊 )

I know what makes 270 so cool, but is there something about the Solarium that makes it special versus those on Oasis class?  I do love the Solarium on the Oasis class so if it's as least as good as the we'll be happy clams.

To be clear, the Quantum Ultra classes, (Odyssey and Spectrum)do not have the outdoor WJ area

But yes, another vote for the solarium

George...I'm pretty sure we are leaning that way! So for Naples is there an excursion or excursions you prefer? We are thinking about the Capri and the Amalfi Coast..looks nice! The couple we are going with have been to Pompeii so I don't know that we will do that although I'm sure it's amazing..Then there is also Sorrento & Amalfi Coast do you prefer Capri or Sorrento?

I would say Herculaneum is a must, can find Pompeii Herculaneum combo normally, Herculaneum much better preserved in some areas than Pompeii

much smaller, former beach/resort town for the Roman emperors etc

  11. I would/will miss the twice daily, I like to cruise and feel like a king(like the rich folks) this is another one of those little things, that is value added to me.   It makes cruising Royal no different than most hotels in the world, so what's the big deal?  If the product is so much like a land product, maybe charge for everything more in line with similar mainline/not high end land products.   Would it stop me cruising? Not in and of itself, but still not a fan, Royal will do what its gotta do for their business projections,
