Question: I have always sailed Royal, and you could simply use your OBC by going to the casino, load $xxx into a slot machine, play a few rounds, cash out and walk away with cash. This is my first time HAL. I'm getting $100obc loaded thanks to CCL shareholder ownership. We already have the have-it-all package and promotional pre-paid gratuities. All excursions and specialty dining are booked. In other words, I don't expect any on-board charges unless I want/have to. Can I use the same casino process in HAL that I described above with Royal?

I'll be in an aft balcony with a whirlpool with this ship. Curious if anyone has any pictures.

I need to fly from NY to AMS in August. Non-stop flights are very expensive, and I can get a good deal using HAL Air. However, since I have 2 separate bookings (2 different cabins with kids), I want to make sure to be on the same booking. Calling HAL Air is a nightmare with the people from the overseas (?) call center. Sure, they are friendly but they absolutely have no idea about my questions: - Can you link the air bookings? - Can I use Delta e-Credits? I let the agent make the booking regardless, only to find out she booked the wrong date. When she wanted to rebook (1 day later!), she mentioned that those days are unavailable. Absolute bull since I was staring at those flights on my computer screen. Is there any way how I can get a US based rep to help me booking my flights with HAL Air?

I have Delta eCredits that will expire this year. I'm planning to go on a HAL cruise and can get a significant discount if I book my Delta flights using the cruise company. However, I can't find any information if the cruise company (I guess you can call it a travel agent also?) can apply the eCredits. I chatted with Delta and they said 'yes', however, I'm not so sure. Does anyone know the answer? Thanks.

What's your opinion about this one? I grabbed this from a Facebook group and I blurred out the faces. It's basically a father holding his child on a MSC ship. She's sitting with her legs on the railing and he has his arms around her. In my opinion this is not recommended, but overly dangerous? People are calling for having this person removed from the cruise, bringing up the example of the poor child that was dropped from the RC ship by a grandfather, etc. In my opinion this person deserves a firm talk from his wife "Don't do this!", but that's about it. Thoughts?

On Anthem now. Starlink works okay expect in the upper (sun) deck.

I'm sailing on Friday on Anthem for the 3rd time. It's a great ship, but I'm ready for an Oasis Class ship (haven't been on one of those)!

If you miss your dining window, go to the WJ buffet. Is that a problem?

I contacted the facility and this is the answer: The entrance to the garage is 7'4'. But, as soon as you enter the garage, the height restriction is 6'7', so that won’t work. I probably will remove the roof box and store it in the car. It’s pretty easy to attach.

Got my roof rack mounted and it seems to be 86-88” (not easy to measure). So hopefully we are okay! I assume that Royal has a few inches buffer also in their 88” height requirement

Passport is fine. Download the royal app (if you haven't done so already), the set sail passes should be in there. You can bring paper copies if you want to be 100% sure, but it's really not necessary. Enjoy your cruise!

At least get another Quantum Class in NY so we get new shows, like Ovation.

I'm booked on the 1/13/23 Anthem sailing where Starlink supposedly is being installed. I checked online, and the ONLY internet option is "surf and stream" so it seems that's the Starlink tier. I've also noticed that the pricing model has changed for multiple lines, but that might be a fleet-wide thing.

As an IT person myself, kudos for this update! It seems to me Starlink is definitely being installed on Anthem.

So... Symphony it is, which is great. Unfortunately they're still sailing the same itineraries.

Odyssey doesn't have the pool roof, so I don't think that makes sense. Anthem is the perfect ship for winter sailing out of NY (although I'm getting a bit bored of her). I've also sailed on Odyssey by the way, which is definitely improved over Anthem but the lack of a pool roof is a deal breaker.
