RobinCruiser - nice that you didn't gain! We are warming up here too it is now 3 degrees F. We have snow here also. I'm looking forward to going on a cruise in March and having warm weather! Jan
Nice! I would love to be going on a cruise in March but my next one is booked for Sept.

Happy Friday everyone! I did weight yesterday but never made it to the forum to post. No change.
Hoping it's finally warming up where ever you all are. Up here in Canada we are warming nicely and should be out of the negative numbers by next week. We finally got a little snow too which was much needed. Not enough though so I dread the summer to come and the wildfires again. Ugh.
Have a nice weekend everyone.

Happy Friday everyone! Thanks for the poem Belle! Enjoy your time aboard.
Jan, weight watchers helped my friend lose a lot of weight but of course after she stopped watching, she gained it back.
I'm happy to report that I'm down 3 pounds this week. And that's mostly due to feeling icky and not eating much. Blah!
Have a good weekend everyone!

Hello ladies and a belated Happy Holidays to all. So sorry. I kept thinking I need to sign in and post an update and well that's as far as I got.
So I was up 2 pounds last week or the week before but I weight yesterday morning and I was back down, dropped those pesky 2 pounds again so that was good. 🙂
Been walking almost daily or trying... but we have an artic air mass descending next week that will turn our nice +5 Celsius temps to -20 so there won't be much walking when that happens. DH and I take our two Jack Russells to the closed Provincial Park here at the lake so they can run off leash and explore while we do laps of the park. I tend to typically get 4-5Km a trip.
Hope you are enjoying your cruise Belle!
Good job Jan on staying the same.
Izena, I love your outlook on making smaller goals. Like you, I've gained over the last year and have a good 30-40 pounds to drop. I think I will try your method and plan for the first 10!
Have a good weekend ladies!

Can't believe I missed a whole week - where had the time gone? I weighed myself last Fri and was down .2, not much but better than a gain.
Looking forward to weigh in tomorrow!
Hope everyone has had a great week.

Thanks for the great poem Belle!
I've weighed myself this morning 😱 and have a starting point for next week. DH is going to work out of town for the week so I have a good chance to drop some weight without him here insisting we eat all the food, all the time!
Sorry to hear you gained Jan but hope you enjoyed the ice cream.

Welcome back RobinCruiser! These boards are good at keeping us accountable
Sounds as if you have had a lot going on. There are others also that have battled breast cancer and we are always here to support others. I am now on an anti-estrogen pill that is a pain - At 71 I am having hot flashes and night sweats again! Jan
Thanks for the warm welcome back Jan!
Sounds like we are on a similar path. I'm on an anti-estrogen pill too. I'm not having the hot flashes and night sweats again but it has changed my personality somewhat. I find that I have no interest in a lot of things that I took pleasure in previously like sewing and crafting, exercise etc and I will cry at the drop of a hat. DH and I have started daily walks through the park so hopefully this will help with some weight loss.
Looking forward to catching up with everyone!

Hello friends, new and old! I'm back after a 3 or 4 year hiatus. Nice to see some familiar names still posting and it was great to read one of Belle's poems.
I will read through some posts to catch up on a bit of news I have missed.
I have two cruises currently booked, one for Sept 24, and one for Sept 25 and I have a lot of weight to lose. I battled breast cancer May 23 and I am now on some nasty pills that have made the weight creep up and up. Plus we moved and hubby semi-retired so he likes to putter in the kitchen and all the extra food I've been eating is not helping either. Looking forward to being held accountable for weekly weigh ins again and hope to lose with you all.

I'd expect to see it mid to late November. That is typical. If you follow this thread you will keep up to date with when the release is going happen. Typically they will let you know the week on flyer similar to what has been posted and then just keep watching. It could be anytime that week. Usually Wednesday or Thursday.
By the way... We used to live in Aldergrove many years ago. My wife taught at Betty Gilbert.
Thank you! I'll follow the thread so I get the notifications and that's really cool - both my kids, now adults, went to Betty Gilbert. 🙂

Deployment typically happens in Oct/Nov/Dec of each year. For reference, here was the schedule for 2024-2025 (April).
Thank you.

Posting this here since it was updated June 1.
Mildly interesting is Quantum shown as doing SEA to SIN, then SIN to BNE in October 2024 yet the website is selling Vancouver to Hawaii on Quantum Oct. 1 after the Alaska season.

Thank you for sharing this. Wish it had beyond May. I'm looking for Med 2025 in Aug/Sept/ for a 30th Anniversary cruise. Wonder when they will release that schedule.

Hello cruise fans! Wondering if anyone has any idea when Royal will release their 2025 line up? Looking specifically for Med cruises. I see Princess and NCL have theirs out already. Looking to book for my 30th Wedding Anniversary. 😄🍾

Hey cruise fans, anyone know when the 2025 line-up should roll out? I'm looking specifically for Europe/Med.

I'm curious about the one and two night sailings from Vancouver, BC. Has anyone taken one? I used to have a client who took them every year or so to treat his wife for his birthday but we've lost touch. Wondering if the hot tubs would be available to use? And if the casino would open?
TIA.

I tried searching but can't find a definite answer. Are there any porthole cabins on Discovery Princess?
TIA.

8 Day Eastern Caribbean Jan 29/22 on the Freedom *Ports are St. Maarten, St. Kitts, San Juan, Grand Turk
or
7 Day Mexican Riviera Nov 12/22 on the Panorama *Ports are Cabo, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta
I'm trying to decide so I can block some group space but just don't know which one to pick!! I've done the Eastern Carib twice but never been to Grand Turk and never done the Mexican Riv.

Happy Birthday Diana!! Your dinner plans sound fantastic!! Hopefully DH is doing the clean up as well? He sounds like a sweetie, leaving you notes. 🥰
Belle good job on keeping off 5#, that's is great!
Ombud - I really like your thinking on birthday dinners as well! If only that were true. 🎂🍷
Us Canucks up here also get a long weekend, it's Labour Day for us. The last long weekend of summer, just before school goes back. And we like to go to the lake for that reason - after Monday all the seasonal people with kids are gone so the lake is nice, quiet and peaceful once again.
