The ship docks at the pier. You could request a wheelchair assist up and down the ramp on the dock. And that is where the RCCL shore ex picks up. Sounds like you have booked a private tour and it is about 1/4 mile walk from the berth we used yesterday to the tramway. Nothing provided by the cruise line will take you to your private tour. We did see a few pedicabs, but I wouldn’t count on that. Consider the logistics of what you are booking if you have a mobility challenged member of your party. We did when we used to travel with our elderly parents. And we are getting to the point where we are falling into that category.

Dawes Glacier, not so much. The Bird has been blessed with glorious weather on this cruise. But they has resulted in a lot of caving at the glacier, filling the water with ice. The Captain maneuvered as close as he could, to provide passengers with a glimpse of the glacier. The Dawes Glacier way off in the distance. Zoomed in, you can see a tiny piece of the great glacier. The Glacier Explorer take you where the Quantum won’t. Right up close and personal with the glacier. Hard to see, but the waters closer to the glacier is filled with ice. Not good for Azipods or thrusters (unless you want to walk home from Juneau).
