  1. We can't carry them onboard anymore because people were emptying out the bottles and filling them with vodka or other clear liquor.
  2. Carnival's favorite customers are those that don't know what Carnival is capable of, or if they do know they don't care.
  3. You will need to ask your carrier how much their roaming rates are for cellular at sea coverage. Or, you could try using Skype/zoom/etc with the Premium wifi plan.
  4. The funny thing is you are resorting to ad hominem attacks when the information you pasted here clearly shows a photocopy of a birth certificate is perfectly acceptable. You should be ashamed of your behavior.
  5. Price matching isn't a "shorts in the dining room" type of thing. Unwritten rules aren't really kosher here. They either have to stand by their policies, or you can force them to by filing a complaint with the FTC.
  6. My hunch is no matter how much time and how many feathers you raise to escalate this issue, you will not get those gratuities paid for. So it really just comes down to your personal choice on how you handle the matter.
  7. And while the outside rooms are larger, that's mostly because of the sofa - which will be made up as a bed all cruise, so I personally wouldn't pay for it. They used to convert between sofa during the day and bed at night, but no more. Yet we pay the same gratuities, actually more.
  8. Status does not matter and it's very unlikely you'll get an upgrade, so don't even dream about it. It's possible but it rarely happens these days.
  9. The problem these days is they no longer put the pullmans up in the morning/take them down at night, so they'll be right at neck-level all cruise. The room will be very tight. But yeah if you only need the room to sleep and bathe - it's doable. I wouldn't want to do it for 8 nights but for a 3-5 night cruise I could make it happen.
  10. Wifi calling is blocked on Carnival.
  11. The closest that Carnival could provide would be a carafe of hot water from room service, or the hot water tap on the coffee machine at the Lido buffet. None of these will be boiling water though of course.
  12. This is incorrect information I encourage people to get the information regarding ID documentation etc from Carnival directly - it is in plain English on their website - and not ask online because you are bound to get incorrect information.
  13. Where is that detailed in the policy? I don't think you'll find it.
  14. I guess I just expect more out of Carnival than most on here.
  15. I have noticed that they do try to seat us in the same section whenever possible as well, without us needing to ask.
  16. Tipping extra is never forced or even expected. If you tip above and beyond the automatic gratuities, it's entirely up to you.
  17. Yes Carnival is definitely still a good value and still has a good product. But I do think it is fair to point out things they could do better. Everyone sees things differently. Guy's fries before weren't crunchy at all, they were more like Five Guys vs. Wendy's if you are familiar with the two. It's really personal preference.
  18. It’s just half the stewards. It’s just room service. It’s just most of the sea day brunch menu. It’s just it’s just it’s just. A cutback is a cutback. You may not care but others do and their opinions are just as valid.
  19. One thing that stood out to me about the Freedom was just how many lounges and public spaces there were. I need to cruise on a Conquest class ship again, my cruise was during the masking and social distancing rigamarole so it was tough to judge people flow etc. I mean I never had to wait for an elevator once that entire cruise.
  20. What's the difference? Made with real sugar instead of corn sugar, like the Mexican Cokes?
  21. I try to be fair - firm, but fair - in my criticism of Carnival. And I hope that my plaudits are recognized as well. Thanks for recognizing my efforts.
  22. One thing is for sure, it is much easier to recycle an aluminum can than it is a plastic bottle. It is a shame that canned water is hard to find in a lot of stores. One brand I know of is Liquid Death but it is very expensive. I fully concur re: Amazon.
  23. What is more environmentally unfriendly, a plastic bottle or ordering canned water to be delivered to your home in a box truck I wonder? I'm sure somebody has done the math.
  24. They only carry Dr Pepper on ships sailing from Galveston as far as I am aware. Each person can bring on 12, 12oz cans during embarkation. Must be in your carry-on luggage, not checked.
