Just went to one in March. Most folks dressed in shorts. They just left whatever area they were in to come. At 1pm most were in poolside mode. It’s not a “cocktail party” atmosphere. Never met the captain. Mostly chef, customer service folks , dining room managers etc. As others have said mostly sales pitches for continuing to cruise with them. Still enjoyed talking to other latitude members about their cruises.

But I decided not to take the dining and drinking part of the "free at see" promo. If it was REALLY free - yes, I take it! But it is not. Just wanted to add that you can select the dining package without the drinks one. The amount of gratuity on that is under $30. Well worth keeping.

We have B2B cruise on the Dawn in October. Just noticed they are charging $99 pp for the Rock and Roll show on each cruise. No dinner included. Is this going to be the next step in cost cutting?!

We were on b2b Greek isle cruise last year in May and June. It was in effect at that time. No alcohol unless you had drinks package.

Looking to book a 12 day cruise from Lisbon. These are the ports of call. Is the weather at that time of the year going to be on the cool side or would we actually be able to sit by pool on a sea day? Also will it be off season for some of these ports meaning rather sedate? The dates are October 23-Nov 4. We’re booked on the Sky for a March sailing. We’ve never been to Great Stirup Cay Bahamas. As I check the itinerary a few excursions have been listed. Several are for renting villas there. My question is since we are only there for the day why would we need to rent a villa?
