Just found out that my March 2 Sky cruise is a prestige cruise . Any idea how many people would be a part of this. I'd feel better if it was a smaller number.

Like I said in post above yours...... Prestige is  Less invited bodies than a Vip cruise.

We really don't know for sure until onboard.

That’s bizarre because I also got that exact same $600 balcony offer for 12,000 points.  I expected nothing I didn’t play after the second night at all.

Yeah, I'm Not happy about that lame offer, and it hasn't been changed for the better.

So guess how many points I Won't be playing next year? 😑

BTW I recognize you from the Vegas boards. 💵😎

  3. Like we talked about on other Princess casino thread,

    Oceanplayersclub.com

Can click on that to send Complaint/ inquiry.

I've found out ON the ships that if you submitted inquiry to oceanplayers?

Take a picture of your Ticket #, as Proof.

Then the Host onboard can contact them.....

Without the proof of ticket#?  Seemed they couldn't help.

Geez you really have to document Everything with them.

    You are actually emailing:

    support@globalcasinoservices.zendesk.com

I also sent same email to: Casino@carnival.com

Meant to add, I have a very good longtime CVP.

Hes gone up the ladder for me before... but at least

with my casino problem?  He couldn't really help.

I HOPE you can get some resolve soon!  Good Luck

  4. I don't see how they can get away with that!!! 😳

You booked a trip with the listed perks... you have hardcopy Proof.

What, Princess thinks youre going to take it or leave it?

    I don't think so!

That is definately WRONG.  I'm just shaking my head at whats been happening

    with the casino Dept. lately.

    Or LACK of Casino Dept.

I'm still waiting for a reply to MY inquiry to oceanplayersclub.

I hope you Notify them.  Don't let them get away with that.

and IF you decide to cancel on them?

Make sure you get your $200pp deposits back!

This CAN be done, but you might need to go up the chain.

THEY broke the contract, NOT you. ☹️

  5. We had this happen to us on Princess cruise in Sept.

A Security person was visiting the person next door. I don't know why?

But upon her leaving the room, I motioned for Security to come over, and explained

guest was smoking on her balcony at different times. (usually while calling on the phone)

Security then knocked on her door Again, and I heard her explain about Not smoking on balcony.

Just in case the offender did it again?

I DID record her thru the crack in our patio door to their side.

(It was either that or I was going to hold my phone over the wall or railing!)

Was easier to video the offender, and take a screen shot from the video.

Or heck, I could have showed Security the whole video.

Either way, I wasn't about to have THAT person ruin our balcony time.

    Case closed.

With all that, they'll probably have only one "Fun 21" table on board. I hate slots as they're mindless and for me, "Fun 21", with its low minimum wager, slow play and strategy differences because of an odd deck, is a way to spend some time with other like-minded players just having some fun.

Thats how many of us feel about video poker!  Inventory has gotten tiny onboard, and usually stuck in a corner on the Smoking side!? 😵  Not appreciated. cough cough 🙁

I hope you and others stateside do get the chance to return to work for Princess.  This outsourced, off-shored customer service experiment has definitely failed.  By now they should be up to speed on how to do their jobs but either they aren't well trained or not empowered to fix issues.  Maybe both.  It really is sad to see how bad it's gotten.

Totally agree!  Its a lesson in futility dealing with the call center!

Totally agree with your last sentence.  I've heard offers come from Corporate

as to what you receive for your CBS. (voucher you get when getting off the ship)

Thats what I was told earlier this year from ship casino host, but I don't know if their info is correct?

I think I got robbed, and should have gotten a much better cbs for 22,000 points!

(it was 22 not 21, not that it mattered to them)

WHO to "complain" to?  We used to be able to call casino dept, til they disbanded it.

Now you get the casino Navigators🙄(call center) who don't know much, and have to ask....

I'm going to email new cvp and see if they can get thru to higher casino dept and get an answer.

I've been receiving a ton of offers in snail mail for many of the same as above. Hearts offers, tourneys, etc.  But got an email offer of free balcony, 650 fp, AND Plus package.  Booking was a mess.  Only got 400 fp, NO plus package.  Call to rectify sketchy, with a promise to call me back 4 days later.  Attempt to email casino with issue came back autoreply I've never seen before.

"Thank you for being a valued Princess Cruises casino guest. Please note this email is no longer monitored. For all of your casino reservation needs please call 888.772.6697 to speak with one of our navigators. Hours are Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 5:30PM or Saturday 8A-5P PST

    Sincerely,

    The Princess Casino Contact Center"

It's not looking good for dealing with anyone outside of the call center.  And most of those interactions are difficult to say the least.
If anyone has a better email contact than casinoinquiry@princesscruises.com I'd sure appreciate it.

I just got a big problem fixed yesterday thanks to new CVP.  (My other one went mia, gone)

anyway...... called the main cvp # to talk with another one and think I found a good one.

I had a similar issue, old cvp booked my cbs offer from the ship.... all the PPerks were

showing on the Service Summary print out, but my 1,000 Freeplay was never added.

I seriously got the runaround (and called the dreaded call center, that promised

it would be fixed in a couple days, but of course it never was.)

    New cvp got it fixed!

I just printed it out (always keep paper trail proof or at least photos on your phone)

All looks correct, and its a big sigh of relief!

We should Not have to jump thru hoops like this for simple bookings.

I ONLY plan to work with cvp from now on.

Casino Dept is GONE, and dealing with the Call center is a deal breaker!

    I say get cvp, asap

And if yours cvp goes mia like mine did?

    Call and get another!

    1-800-901-1172  to get Princess CVP

I’m pretty much on the conservative side when it comes to travel planning but, I’d probably chance it for that flight.  You will have to use walk off and set up a ride to get you to the airport as soon as you disembark.  I’ve been to FLL by 8 AM without even trying before.  But once, we had to change docks as the Carnival ship occupying our scheduled dock was stuck in place.  Our flight was at 11:30 AM and we just made it.  But that was a rarity.

You might want to book a refundable flight, maybe on Southwest, just to be on the safe side.

I would probably chance it too....but just in case,  I like this SW backup plan.

    Have a plan B & C.

But you might make it just fine.

Had issues with our stateroom on a daily basis.  Filthy when we arrived from construction that was never cleaned, toilet that flushed forever and we could not get our room attendant on the phone and guest services had a line around the stairwell.  We figured someone would figure it out.  Another day, no water in toilet, hairdryer did not work upon embarkation, light bulb over the desk out, room air conditioner needed to be serviced twice, new electric door would open, but would not close.  Serviced twice and then we turned it to manual.  Handicapped people need the exercise, I suppose! TV had to be reset by Guest Services on a daily basis.   Compensation--Not a dime!  We were never invited to a cocktail party for loyalty.  At least they tended to our requests within a decent time frame.

    Wow 😳

I did get a Hearts and Ultimate Hearts VIP cruise.  Booked the Hearts and looking to book the Ultimate Hearts.  I never heard of diamonds.  Is that a Prestige Cruise?

It really stinks that 21k only netted you a balcony.  That used to be a mini suite, PP and 1500 FP.  I think that you will get better offers in the mail and email.  Hopefully a mini suite with better perks.

Yes I think Diamonds is prestige (going off the top of my head) but I'm Not using it.

Diamonds was like you said, mini with 1500FP yada, but only on a couple cruises in March,

out of Ft.Laud.  Which is fine if you live near there.

We are West coast, and I prefer not to use my potential FP  for airfare.

If they had the same deal from This side of the country?  I would probably do it.

And youre right, like I shared on post above, 21k Points earned, for a balcony & low FP,

is NOT good.  So player beware.

Just back from 11 day cruise.  Did 21k points and my Come back & play offer was smallish

considering.  I expected more... got $600 freeplay, balcony & PP.

Has anyone else had their return offer lately, be smaller than in the past?

To add insult to injury, I was mistaken.  The CBS offer was only 600FP and Balcony.

    ***NO Plus PERKS!

Needless to say that is LAME for that kind of play, and I won't be using that offer.😣

Someone above said they did Not get a voucher cbs before getting off ship?

Technically, I wouldn't have.... but I found the Host (always go to casino before end of cruise)

    and talked to her.

She said I should have gotten one, and didn't know why mine wasn't delivered?

So she reprinted one for me, while I sat in casino and Didn't play.

After seeing the bounceback, I was definately done.

I didn't notice NO Plus perks til now, or would have had a TALK with the host while onboard! 🤨

Just off the Ruby's 15 day Panama Canal crusie -- first after their 3 week dry/wet dock. The ship was clean and new paint all over. The crew was VERY happy to see paying customers again.

We had a toilet and shower issues for several days, all were resolved. The ship lost all wireless conductivity ( no Medallion sevice ) for 1.5 days in the beginning. Was a mess.

All new chairs and tables in the cabins and all public areas.

Horizon Court/Caribe Cafe have new carpet. No changes to the buffet. They did have everyother night themed dining ( Bavarian, Italian etc ) which was held in the Caribe Cafe separate from the Horizon buffet. The Horizon dinner started at 5:30 -- theme buffet at 6:00. The coffee service has changed -- no more coffee syrup mixed with hot water -- now have large coffee brewing stations -- one regular/ one decaf. Coffee was a big improvement. These are located at either end of the seating area's beverage station. Passengers are no long welcome in these areas -- after you are seated, you will be provided a beverage. Also, in the am, there is no longer roving servers with juice and coffee.

Casino has new carpet and comfy seats.

    The shows were so-so.

The captain kept us well informed about weather and other items.

During tendering in Cabo, you could just see the patch on the hull's aft port side.

    Overall had a great time.

You had toilet & shower issues for several days....thats tough.  Did you report it?

    Were you offered any compensation?

We didn't have water one morning on our last cruise, called Cust Serv. reported it nicely.....

Later we were called & offered $200 each for the inconvenience.

Its in our credit next time we book a cruise.

Just wondering if you were offered anything?

  16. We always visit Cust Serv desk soon as onboard, to double check we both have our OWN

cards listed.  Why?  We both want points on diff cards, and less chance for messups.

Couple diff trips when we used the same credit card.....got a notice day 2 or 3 that spouse wasn't allowed to access it and to visit Cust serv desk.

So we stopped using the same credit card onboard, and its been No prob since.

We both only see our own Onboard accts.

I do the same when traveling with a friend.  I don't want friends charges on my cc,

so we visit CS day one.

  17. We got off Enchanted few days ago.

360 is built into The Catch By Rudi.  (which was Great meal IMO)

We saw the conga line of guests being escorted into 360.

It looks like they are entering the kitchen area, thru double doors.

As we were enjoying our meal in the Catch, we could hear some of the sound effects

    going off in 360.

As for us?  We had soooo many tours booked this cruise, decided $149 each was too much.

Would rather spend the same $$ for a tour of Pompeii and Amalfi coast & Sorrento all day.

    Different strokes for different folks.

The Catch was comped for us, but I would certainly pay for it, much better deal than 360.

FYI- the Smoked Salmon appetizer (it was smoking under dome glass) was Fantastic!

  18. Thanks for all the pics & patters Partybarbie.

If you or anyone on Ruby is a CASINO patron, if you could please post pics of the remodel?

Wondering HOW they've changed it?  New Machines? Video poker?

I liked the ruby Casino layout before, but the biggest issue in the casino was the Smoke!

Had to be one of the worst casinos for smoke I've ever encountered.

And weve been on Ruby several times.

    Wondering how thats changed?

  19. First I want to THANK all of you who contribute to this thread.  It was invaluable for our trip!

We just got back from Rome last night.  We stayed at Hotel Smeraldo 2 nights post cruise.

We felt like we got a  feel for being a Local staying there.

We stayed in the hotel Smeraldo annex which is steps across the alley from hotel front door.

That is Not an issue.  But for anyone who stays there with a window facing the busy alley?

You WILL Get NOISE almost 24/7.  Quiet time is after midnight to 4:30Am.

After that, its a busy little street and you HEAR every car, truck and person walking/talking by.

Our room was Floor 3, almost directly above Forno, which has very good takeaway pizza.

(theres really nowhere outside to sit to eat, so we got ToGo and ate in our room)

Hotel S comp breakfast in the morning was very good on our first night.  We missed it

second day.  Its open 7-10Am only.

We met a couple from our cruise when we were heading back to FCO and got their

    feedback on where they stayed?

They stayed at the Hilton AT the airport. (NOT the Hilton Garden, that is farther away)

So when we were driving into the FCO, we could See the Hilton AT the airport, and boy

is it AT the airport!  Like a short walk into the Terminal!  That looked so easy!

To be honest, I wish we stayed there, and took the train or taxi into central Rome to

walk around the sights..... then be closeby the airport when it was time to leave.

We would have gotten alot more sleep!

The couple said they really didn't hear the planes... couldn't have been any worse than

the street noise we got all hours.  Even with our windows closed, we heard Everything.

So, If you have a short stay pre or post cruise?

You might consider Hilton AT the airport, instead of staying in town in Rome.

Thats what we plan to do if theres a next time.

    Happy travels all.

I am not much a gambler but dropped a couple hundred dollars in the casino slots, mostly on a day the port was canceled.  It seems like it might be worth it to gamble some.  I think I will set aside a couple hundred bucks for each cruise to piss away on the slots.

My TA was able to re-fare all of my booked cruises because of a casino offers that I didn't even realize I had.  One cruise went from 2100 to 1600.  It looks like they comp'd, drinks, wifi, casino credit, on board credit, etc.  It says "complimentary $514" on the cruise info now when I look at the drink package.

So I lost less than I was discounted which works out if you plan on cruising anyways.

I was just on a royal cruise that had a cow game that was compelling.  Attack From Planet Moolah.  I hope a princess ship I go on will have that one.

Wow you received a discount after only play a couple hundred for your trip?

What a nice surprise.  Would have thought it would take alot more $ than that?

Maybe other slot players can chime in....

  21. My mom who cruised with me a couple years ago, still gets regular email offers from

Princess casinos.  So if anyone is wondering if your offers continue after time....or if you only sailed on Princess ONE time?   Hers offers sure have.

I recall she played 7,000 points.

Her current email offer is for Hearts, comp Balcony, approx $400 FP, No Plus perks.

I received the Diamonds, but you only have the choice of 2 Carrib trips in March, out of Ft.Laud.

Since I used my latest CBS for Panama Canal booking in Feb.,

we don't plan to return to FLL in March.
