  1. The $4.95 delivery fee started in either December 2022 or January 2023 (I do not remember exactly) which was well past the restart. We sailed in September 2022 in a non-Haven Suite on the Joy and did not have to pay for our morning coffee and croissant delivery.
  2. Thank you for reporting back and I am looking forward to reading your full review as we are on the Encore in two weeks. Enjoy the rest of your holiday.
  3. Yes, and a choice I do partake in. That is why, for me, the delivery of coffee and chocolate croissants went from $3 (what I tip) to $9.
  4. Plus an additional 20%.......................
  5. I think (my opinion) that if someone is going to be on the negative side of purchasing the Vibe passes, they should state if they have firsthand experience. Again, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but they should state if their opinion is based on actual experience or if they just think it would not be worth it to them. And that is ok as everyone has a right to pick and choose how to spend their vacation money. We choose not to buy spa passes; however, I have never stated it was a waste money. I am still very thankful for all those posters in 2015 that talked and raved about the Vibe on these boards. If it was not for them, I would not have known about it and certainly would not have known the procedure you had to go through to get a Vibe pass.
  6. Much more beautiful pictures than the ones we took. Thank you for posting them. When I first booked this excursion, I was hesitant to tell my husband the price. When he finally asked, I just said it was on the expensive side and that he would rather not know. Right after the excursion he asked how much was it and I then told him. He said it was definitely worth it.
  7. And I did not include the $1,494 cost for the six Vibe passes that you persuaded me to reserve! Seriously, I think whatever you plan will be wonderful as you are very good at planning your trips and experiences.
  8. I will be dissappointed if the coffee and pastries are not there on the Encore in couple of weeks. Thank you for letting me know it is no longer a sure thing.
  9. In our experience, it was always set up at the bar on both portside and starboard. Coffee and pastries.
  10. And being able to grab coffee a few steps away at the Waterfront at 6:00 a.m.!
  11. Right now the three excursions we want to do next June on our extended family vacation are $749, $189 and $309. The $749 one is the helicopter and dog sledding in Juneau. The total for six is a whopping $5,734 right now with the discounts. And I am afraid it will be higher as this is based on this years prices. Also this amount does not include me on two of the excursions ($749 and $189).
  12. We have stayed in this area a few times and have never experienced a noise issue. We will staying in that area again in a few weeks when we are on the Encore.
  13. You are correct, your opinion is as valid as is everyone else's opinion. However, your original comment came off more as a fact than an opinion which is why I commented. Happy cruising to you too.
  14. This past August/September it was $399 per person. It ended up costing us $673.20 for two with the discounts. We both thought it was worth every penny as the Jewel was not able to get anywhere close to the Hubbard Glacier. We only booked it based on @YVRteacher.
  15. Anyone have any recent experience yet about applying new CNC to already booked cruises?
  16. We have also experienced the hot tubs remaining open after the bar closes on multiple ships. However, I am not sure until what time.
  17. As we have some OBC to use on the Encore in a couple of weeks, I think I will try the room service seven layer cake. I will report back. Yes, it is the room service charge plus 20%.
  18. Now that is a plan I could get behind!
  19. You have me hooked already and looking forward to reading your past adventures too! Have a wonderful time.
  20. The new solo cabins are very interesting. We are going on an extended family cruise this June on the Joy. This weekend we had to change one of the cabins that was two passengers down to one passenger. The current price for a regular balcony cabin was $2,807.35 and the price for a solo balcony cabin was $1,937.85. Both cabins are on Deck 12 and are not far from one another.
  21. We are enjoy Cagney's and have never had a bad experience.
  22. Respectfully disagree with your assessment of the contemporary cruiser.
  23. Cagney's chocolate seven layer cake! Or if in Haven, the chocolate Moose cake.
