  1. I fully agree with @shof515 and would add that the Main DINING Room is there for a purpose so people can DINE in it not to act as a personal mini buffet.
  2. @kapcruiser If you use an NCL PCC and there is a price drop before Final Payment they usually don't even bother to cancel and re-book, just in case someone jumps in front of them and books "your" cabin, they just do a re-fare.
  3. I feel sure the way that NCL advertises is illegal in New Zealand. If you offer a "before" and an "after" price, as NCL does, then the "before" price has had to be offered as the actual price for a decent length of time prior to the "after" price was deing offered. If you look at any of the 40% Off prices on the NCL website, just when was the actual "before" price ever offer as the norm?
  4. @JK B One thing to remember; if you use a TA THEY not you own the booking. NCL will NOT talk to you. Everything has to go through the TA, Use an NCL PCC.
  5. Personally I would not wait for a "off the street" taxi at any port. Book and pay for some form of transport. In Reykjavik a shuttle type booked in advance would be far cheaper than a taxi; remember that Iceland is VERY expensive. Look at the Greyline website for some ideas.
  6. @uneamie In Australia and New Zealand the DSC is built into the fare when we pay through the Sydney NCL office and so we never get a DSC charge on our folio. I think you will have to hope that "Your Travel Site" has a similar arrangement. =======================================
  7. @2boyzmom Make sure you take that to the ship with you. It what you get in your cabin on the first day go to Guest Services with it. HTH Mike
  8. @2boyzmom Did you get an Amenity Confirmation? If not get one from your PCC or TA
  9. @TrumpyNor Thank you Anita for the date; I have a print out of the old and new Dining and WiFi but it did not have a date on it. ================================= A note for everyone; If you booked before that date BUT then have had a re-fare you will change from the old to the new, I know I have done it more than once when getting a good price drop. In that case you also lose the free Latitude 60 WiFi minutes. Mike
  10. @KiddieKruzer A simple answer, keep well away from them!! BUT remember the overheads are so HIGH!! They have to make a profit somehow.
  11. @Stuart4321 I agree with @KSSS2013. BUT if you ant to make tea in it you will need to put plain water through it about 6 times to get rid of the coffee flavour otherwise you will finish up with teoffee, not nice!!! On a previous cruise when they had a special early breakfast room they had "hot" water so you could make your own tea with tea bags. Unfortunately the hot water was available in Cona coffee pots, yes "Teoffee". After a couple of talks with the F&B Manager there were NEW Cona pots with labels HOT WATER ONLY!!
  12. @Elsammo46 We always book as soon as we find a cruise we want to do so long as the price is acceptable. We then watch the price and if it goes down we ask for a re-fare, the perks might change of course. You will almost certainly find that in the present circumstances that the price will RISE not fall.
  13. @luckybecky You are, in fact, doing what most people do WHEN there is a price drop; unfortunately for you there was a price rise.
  14. I have just completed our first one for Nov 6th, it was 84% completed before the 21 rule was invoked. It was done during the afternoon in New Zealand that was 00.01 Eastern USA time
  15. @trivimp In week one first bag put your name on the docket and Platinum and on the second put his name and Sapphire. Week two do the same thing and see who cares!! Especially if you are nice to your steward. Don't say anything about washing just be generally nice.
  16. This will be my last update!! The government have announced that the Online Entry Form requirement has been "canned"; now a real open border. Mike
  17. I agree with Anita (TrumpyNor). When we both got to 250 we BOTH received the same atlas!!! And have never opened it since!! Mike & Pauline
  18. @propanelady The statement is :- All guests over the age of 18, whose primary COVID-19 vaccination will be beyond 270 days at the time of disembarkation from their voyage, must have a COVID-19 booster prior to embarkation. Don't read too much, in fact don't read anything, into what is to be found after this IF you have a booster. It is clear if it is more than 270 days since your primary vaccination and you have a booster you are "GOOD TO GO".
  19. Could I suggest that you just get a second booster.
  20. As NCL uses Sport 24 Google the website and you will see what is available "At Sea"
  21. We want to travel JFK to BW+ Queens from a flight arriving at 7.55pm. We would be grateful for some advice as to a company to book the transfer. We would prefer to book in advance to have someone waiting for us rather than trying to get a Yellow Cab "off the rank". Thank you Mike
  22. It is about time we started to think about 2022 and where our favourite officers and staff will be. I'll start by asking if anyone knows who will be on the Jewel when it starts up in March? What has happened to the officers on the Jade when it was terminated in Dubai? Merry Christmas to everyone from New Zealand and we hope that 2022 will give us all more cruising than we were able to get in in 2021!! Ka Kite Ano Mike & Pauline
