Hi and thanks for reading this. We're a couple of seniors in our 70's but active. We have about 35 cruises under our belt and most of the on Celebrity. None on NCL. We're tired of X and their nonsense over the last couple of years and are wanting to try something different. We usually sail Concierge or better on X and our favorite spot is the cafe Al Bacio. My question is kind of basic. What do I need to know when booking NCL. They offer free drinks, wi-fi etc., but no mention of tips. Are there other little things you seasoned cruisers know about that might be of help? Thanks, and look forward to your help. Drinks on me. 🙂 Jeff

You should require an upgrade for the embarrassment of and having to put up with the rath of this fine message service. Or you could leave well enough alone.

They've made so many strategic errors, it will take a while to undo the damage without ever admitting it. The quality of the food has to be addressed. A mea culpa would go a long way, but it takes a company with backbone to do it. So far, I haven't seen any scattered bones. Somewhere in Miami, there is a person yelling at the top of their lungs at everyone down the "C" suite hall. Let's find that person and call out an atta boy.

We went for dinner last week on the Reflection. The menu was okay, but we really went for the seafood tower. We remember it from the early days on the S class ships and I remember it as an actual tower. It is now a flat serving dish on an "elevated" servicing platform. Two of this, four of that. The charge is $30 for dinner and $15 extra for the "tower". The odd thing was we could not get a straight answer to whether it was 15 per person or just 15. We expected it to be $30, but it turned out to be15, less our elite+ discount but added sales tax. The whole thing was really disappointing. The cost was $14 and change. BTW, we went to Sushi on 5 (which was great) and they also charged sales tax. Our dinner at Murano was booked in advance and did not have sales tax. Jeff

We just got off the Reflection and I believe they said the shuttle was there until 11:00PM. It's not a far ride, but you absolutely can't walk it, night or day. Jeff

Just out of curiosity, are people finding these MDR issues across all destinations? Is it, more prevalent in Caribbean with US based home ports or in Europe with Barcelona or Rome as home bases? Thanks, Jeff

Seems like all casino promos are off the table on the 9/2/23 Reflection cruise out of Barcelona.

I believe, that unless management actually comes out and says that the great cookie debacle was wrong and will not be tried with other things, they are treating us like the lemmings we've turned into and will keep up the nonsense. We're on the Reflection 9/2 for France and Italy and I truly hope that after 17 Celebrity cruises, this will not be our last. Susan & Jeff Elite Plus

We're staying in Rome overnight between a cruise and the flight home. I'm looking for a good hotel where we can spend the night and maybe do some window shopping the day of arrival. We've been to Rome before, so while not out of the question, sightseeing isn't the goal. Just some decompression after a port intensive trip. This will be the 11th of September, a Monday.
