  1. @firefly333Another thing you might do before filing the claim is to see if a furniture restoration company will send someone out to evaluate the damage and give you an estimate on the repairs. That way you will have a dollar amount for the claim.
  2. Jane, another idea would be to call one of the local moving companies like Three Men and a Truck and see if you could hire their guys for a few hours. They could unpack any boxes you need unpacked and set up your furniture
  3. Jane, another place to try is a local community college. Sometimes they have a list of students who will do odd jobs. Also, maybe ask your maintenance guy if he knows some guys who can help you. For the antiques that need repair you can look online for antique restoration places in your area.
  4. There are a lot of ways to use OBC. Non alcoholic drinks, alcoholic drinks, gift shop, jewelry store, specialty restaurants, spa treatments, etc.
  5. It would seem that this company only has a C rating on BBB. There are several complaints regarding the issues you are having. Hopefully your items arrive soon. I wouldn't worry about just 1 elevator or if it is slow. That is what they get paid for. It will give you more time to look at your stuff for damage. If the tree was in your neighbors yard it is their responsibility to fix any damage to the fence. If the house is being sold as is it it the responsibility of the new owner to get with the neighbor to resolve the issue. Code enforcement has no way to make the neighbor share an insurance payment that may or may not have been paid. Small claims court would be one way for the new owner to try to get the neighbor to fix the fence. Personally if I were the new owner I would just fix the fence myself instead of making waves in my new neighborhood. I would direct the new owner to contact their realtor about any questions they may have and not talk with them.
  6. My husband along with spraying his ears and head with sunscreen wears a motorcycle bandana swimming. When he is not swimming he wears a hat. So far it has kept his umm thinner hair areas untouched by the sun.
  7. We have only been on one larger ship cruise and it has been a hot minute. Starting to think about our Wonder cruise. What is a good price for unlimited dining approximately? How does that work exactly because as I have kind of picked up here and there you get the package and can then eat at specialty restaurants every night? However, what if you want to eat in the MDR at least once and do you have to run around quickly first thing to reserve the restaurants and times that you want or can you do it online beforehand? Thank you for helping me out with the logistics of big ship cruising. Soon I will be tackling the entertainment portion but not yet.
  8. Another idea once you are healed and want a little extra protection. There is a head and scalp sunscreen spray. It is very lightweight and not greasy. I always use Aveeno moisturizer on my face eveyday which has sunscreen. These help keep me from burning even in the Caribbean.
  9. We always get the Key. I watch and when the price comes down to close to the internet I purchase. We both like to have internet at the same time especially on sea days. My husband uses wifi calling every day and last cruise he walked our house sitter through starting our generator after a bad storm came through. The first day is nice to drop of our carry ons and have a nice quiet lunch. The last cruise we were first off the ship in Key West and the last morning we had a lovely quiet breakfast before leaving. These are the things we enjoy about the Key.
  10. I know after the restart we took several land trips until the protocols were done away with for cruises. Now we are back to more cruises and less land trips.
  11. He reads like a sad guy who expects others to entertain him and who drinks too much. Not someone I would want to hang out with or read.
