  1. It could have been a one off so don't be too concerned. Next time try not to over think it. Grab her firmly and quickly deposit her in the carrier. Do not hesitate or let her know you are concerned. One with a larger door will help. You can also wrap her in a towel first. Maybe have towel time every day so it doesn't scare her. Start slow with introducing her to the towel a little.more coverage each time with treats included.
  2. Maybe they can give you a little something to relax her before the next time. I have had cats who would put themselves in the carrier and some who would fight like it was life or death to get in one. Jade loves you and just had a I am scared and going to freak out moment.
  3. I also get a chuckle from the vet when they open it up and Coal is inside. He is still really little and they are used to seeing the Maine Coons or Elmer my 20 pounder in it.
  4. We have a "sport pet cat carrier" from Amazon. It has a big front door and I have been able to load even my most difficult cat into it. We have the large size. It also will fold for storage. Sorry the picture is sideways.
  5. The express passes will help. Last fall we could walk onto most of the rides. I like the way they do it at universal where there is a separate line at most of the rides with the express side bypassing most of the people.
  6. I love Universal. It will be hot so take advantage of the pools and waterpark. We like to get macarons after dinner at the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. Cowfish has good sushi and burgers. The Harry Potter area is so much fun.
  7. It is rare that I find rhubarb in the store. We both love rhubarb so I was so excited to see a package at the store.
  8. Exactly. There is no way I would put myself under the control of an unfriendly foreign country.
  9. Strange tomatoes. I hope in the end they turn out. That is disappointing that they are not a variety you expected.
  10. My husband said an extension cord would be ok. He also said you could use solar power to run one. They don't draw much power. We used a fido shock with an extension cord on our melon bed.
  11. We have 14 babies right now at the refuge. Super cute and very busy. I love feeding the little ones since they are one of the few animals we can use baby bottles with.
  12. Tractor Supply will have everything you need to set up the fence. We had to have hot wire around our melons in Texas.
  13. My guess would be raccoons. Climb up the stalk, stalk breaks since a full size raccoon is not lightweight and the feast can begin. An electric fence will keep them out. Otherwise the will climb over and under.
  14. It really depends on what the value is for you. We like it for the internet, the first day quite lunch, being able to drop off our carry ons, the last morning relaxed breakfast, escort off, easy to find luggage. Being able to avoid the crowds and bums rush off the ship is what we enjoy. On the larger ships there is the bonus of dedicated seating.
  15. My yuck moment: One morning I am on the phone with the vet and walking down the stairs. I pause and look over the landing to see my cat Cinnamon deposit a coral snake next to my blind sleeping dog. While still on the phone I get the cat away from the snake, wake up the dog gently and move her away. Get a broom and dustpan. Sweep the snake into the dustpan and deposit it outside far away from the house. Then I finish my call with the vet. Now if my husband had been home I would have screamed snake and made him handle it. LOL
  16. @Jimbo Thank you. We now have a Greenland cruise booked next year. I definitely need your ideas on the ports once you have taken your cruise.
  17. Finding a competent, compassionate and sane pet/house sitter is what keeps me up at night. Right now we have a lovely couple who I trust completely. I worked with them at the refuge so I know how they work. We have several trips planned for this year and next so I hope they do not move away anytime soon. I agree with having a backup just in case and think getting your key back is a good idea.
  18. I will post pictures as soon as it is finished. The rows are long and in between I am working on a tee for me so it may be another month.
  19. It is already 81 this morning. Later today it is supposed to rain and will cool off a bit. The kids and I did an escape room last night and had so much fun. We got out with 7 minutes to spare. We also had a meeting with the wedding planner and I think most items are on track. I have 15 more rows on the wedding shawl.
