Appears your cruise price is dropping. Call Celebrity ask for an upgrade and what your options might be. If there are higher category cabins available at more than you paid there is the opportunity to pay the difference and upgrade, say veranda to concierge or aqua class, ocean view to veranda.

When you are inside final payment you can ask all you want, your not going to get a better rate.

If you are Elite and it is a cruise in cooler climes then the Elite breakfast in Tuscan is fab with a view to die for.

Absolutely my favorite too. Not much better than smoked salmon and bloody mary's. :cool:

We also booked the Hawaii-Vancouver Solstice for Apr 2016 yesterday; however, I called in & had additional questions. We were charged $25 each. Hey, have to pay it sometime. We also got perks

I think this is definitely one of the better Celebrity cruises in 2016. Has been really popular in the past few years especially being on Solstice which is an "S Class" ship, plus it's one of the few stops for Celebrity in Hawaii, a rare commodity. Another benefits/perk is that you can get the Celebrity liquor package on a repositioning cruise which isn't available on a Transatlantic. Looking forward to this one for sure. :cool:

The 24 hour $25 deposit promotion is for 2016 cruises, also it is $25pp for the booking as I confirmed with my booking just now with a Celebrity Rep. If you booked online with only $25 the booking will be cancelled in a day or so is what I was told.

I'm going to leave the total for two people $25 2016 reservation right now as it appears with confirmation and supplied reservation number.

Well see what happens in the next couple of days.

Just book Hawaii to Vancouver on Solstice 4/26/2015 for $25 total for 2 people. Final payment in early February 2016.

We already paid for our meals with our fare....no need to pay extra when we are perfectly satisfied with other options. :)

If you choose to pass on amenities and upgrades and only eat in the buffet and MDR that's on you. Very much like those who will say that I only book inside rooms, why would I pay more for a balcony when I have already paid for an inside room. Enhancing your vacation experience with amenities and variety creates great memories.

We prefer the variety and always at least dine in a specialty a few times per cruise. A discount is not what drives our decision, but if it's available all the better. :D

Going on my first NCL in January after 22 cruises in just 4 1/2 years. Been hangin in the NCL board now for a few weeks. Like what NCL has done recently with Pitbull/Escape and changing there tipping policy by declining onboard passengers from removing tips. Obviously they standing behind their staff and employees, that I respect and like. :cool:

Celebrity is my preferred choice but I want to give NCL a try for a few reasons. 1) Very attracted at this time to new ships aka Escape, 2) Don't want to get burned out with a good thing currently going on with Celebrity, 3) like all the different dining/bar/entertainment options available on Escape, 4) trying a new cruise line is exciting and interesting and 5) looking for a slightly younger crowd (even though I'm 61, I think I'm in my 40's :rolleyes:).

And combine as you stated the Beverage Pkg, comp grats and maybe some OBC, Celebrity is miles ahead especially if you cruise one of the 5 Solstice Class modern luxury ships.

Pitbull is a great choice.

I'm on the Escape in January and look forward to seeing some of his mementos.

BOTTOM LINE IS:

IF YOUR HELD CAPTIVE FOR 10 DAYS...... Get a Trans-Atlantic LIQUOR PACKAGE FROM A Major Cruise Line Other Than CELEBRITY. :D:cool::D

The pick up was made about 300nm from Virginia nc borders. We are steaming at 21 knots to Bermuda

 

What does suck is that all the pools are closed including the thermal suit for 2 days will ask for a refund.

Celebrity does not have the complimentary Classic Beverage promo package on TA's, BUT, NCL does !! :D

Why buy when you might be able to get it through a promotion. And No ....... it's not necessarily built into the price. :cool:

For the quezzies, be sure to bring the Dramamine, it's certain to be a 2 1/2 day rocking ride to Bermuda. Once in Bermuda things should be better. ;)

Assuming you have a balcony, book a starboard cabin if you like the sun, sunset and the moon, a portside room for shade or darker evening nights. :cool:

Like your idea of B2B with two different cruise lines. But if I was considering two ships, one without a doubt would be Solstice.

At the Elite Breakfast, can you get your cappuccino or latte, etc. in a to-go cup?

Just drink it at the Elite breakfast and be happy. :cool:
