  1. My wife is a strick vegetarian, no fish or chicken. We've been on 8 Oceania cruises, she has never had a problem in any of the restaurants..... maybe too much food.
  2. Have your T/A or Oceania have your flight ticketed. Sometimes they can not do this for up to 3 months before cruise. It may take several calls, but it usually gets done and you can pick out seats. If you are flying on Turkish air.... good luck. They don't seem to care about customer service.
  3. We just booked a 25 day cruise for Oct 24. This put us into Silver and it show up in our updated profile. Once the deposit was paid it bumped up. Was nice to see all gratuities paid by silver level.
  4. There were about 50 people in our pre-cruise excursion. About half of them had overweight bags, I didn't see anyone being charged for being overweight.(it's in the flight info for the flight from Delhi to Mumbai) Just make sure your Visa is correct and stamped properly when you enter. Several couples missed half the 1st day dealing with customs. Oceana's pre cruise excursion was well planned and Hotel nice. I recommend it. They can't control Custom's and the Police. Fake cops did flagg down our 2 buses, our main guide is related to a Police Captain, cops let us go....go figure
  5. We did the pre cruise India about 8 months ago. India customs, airport and cruise-port security is a mess. Went to 4 ports after Mumbai, Visa has to be perfect, if it is not stamped right when you fly in to Delhi, you will have problems. They also have lower weight limits on airline bags on domestic flights(Your flight from Delhi to Mumbai) Read all the fine print on Visa and flight in India. We enjoyed India, but half the pre-cruise Oceania travelers were happy to get out of India.
  6. Turkish air is a nightmare, our TA and Oceania had major issues dealing with them. Sometimes you can't avoid flying with them.
  7. We had to use Turkish air out of Istanbul last year, booked by a TA, with oceania air. Will never fly Turkish air again, if I can avoid them. TA and Oceania air dept could not contact Turkish air to upgrade seats. I attempted to call many times, their customer service is a joke. We were able to upgrade all other flights, just Turkish air. Security at airport was kinda crazy too, maybe it was a bad day. We have a cruise in 6 weeks. Had TA contact Oceania air dept, to get flights ticketed. They did and I was able to upgrade seats on Delta and Iceland air.
  8. There are 4 Concierge (A1) cabins on deck 12, 12002-5. Any reviews or advice on these cabins. I have one booked for 2 weeks in 9/23 om Marina.
  9. They are between the Oceania suite and Vista suites, my mistake for not being clear. Cabin #s 12012 thru 12005.

  11. We had 2 ports in Turkey and flew out of Istambul. After about 5 security checks to fly out, no one ever asked for our Visa. I would still get one, airport security was a mess.

  13. The Concierge has been very useful in rebooking cancelled flights post cruise. The last cruise on Riviera, ending Istambul. Turkish air kept changing flights home for many passengers, attendant was kept very busy. When we were stuck in South America on Marina, lounge was packed everyday. Attendants worked extra hours booking flights from various ports, we ended in Miami. Got an extra 8 days at sea.... enjoyed everyday.
  14. SFO immigration did a face to face check with every passenger on plane. In Istambul airport, there was 2 pat down searches, 4 passport checks and prior to boarding they unpacked/searched your carry on. The airport is large new beautiful place, just alittle crazy now. Security was up, for what ever reason. My point of this post is, Oceania air has its problems right now and Turkish air was no help. This from vetran Oceania employees, other passengers with Turkish air, my T/A and myself on the phone with them for hrs. My glass is usually half full. I was stuck on Marina when Covid hit. We got 11 sea days enroute to Miami and enjoyed the inconvience, thats another story. I read alot of CC posts on Oceania and try to learn from them.
  15. Oceania air made the changes. Turkish air could not upgrade seats until Oceania air cancelled first flights. I was booked first to Chicago, then Seattle....had 2 seperate flights home. There for Turkish air allowed no changes until Oceania cancelled first flight. This was confusing to all parties that should know how to deal with this.
  16. Oceania air and Turkish air blamed each other for problems. Veteran Concierge has never seen problems like this. I fixed problems the first 2 cancelled flights, prior to cruise. T/A has booked all my trips and has never seen this, he is an Oceania prestige agent. Again there were many frustrated people on ship with same problems. SFO imigration is under staffed, per United Air. I do have good trip insurance, that will care for additional costs. Concierge had a 30-50 min wait for help at her desk, last 4 days of this cruise. She has never seen these problems.
  17. Just got home from Rivera cruise, Malta to Istabul. Prior to cruise, Oceania air changed 2 flights home to Calif. I paid upgrades to exit row seats on the first 2 flights. With no help form Oceania, I have to dispute these fees with Visa. No one at Turkish air could help with this. Oceania air won't talk with T/A. While on cruise, flight was changed a 3rd time. Concierge called Oceania air and Turkish air in an attempt to pick out seats/upgrade seats. Usually not a problem. We were able to see, many good seats were available. Concierge Milli spent hours with this problem. About 50 others with Turkish air had this problem. End result, found out air dept is contracted out(3rd party) and does not work well with Oceania. Milli send emails to her supervisors asking for help and airing my problems. Turkish air would not let anyone booked through Oceania, check in online or on the phone. We got coach seats in the back of the plane for a 13.5 hr flight to SFO. This was our 6th Oceania cruise. The cruise was great and all was well on ship. If this was my 1st cruise on Oceania, I would not cruise with them again. I have a future cruise booked, with air(booked prior to this cruise). I will never fly Turkish air again, customer service is a joke. Also missed conection in SFO, due to immigration backed up to non citizens on flight. We got to spend 8 hrs in a 1star hotel by airport. Oceania and Turkish air would not assist T/A. I'm done with my rant, was very frustrating.
  18. Just got Turkish visas, took about 5mins to complete to visa apps and got backs confirmation 6 hrs later. Saves bout 50.00 from what Oceania wants. Make sure you got to visiting countries website, there are other similar sites that charge more.
